Why do I think she is wrong? Because I do not think she is lying, just mistaken about who did it. Because per people who knew him then what she says about him being drunk and out of control is totally out of character. Because she cannot recall more details about that day, such as where it was and even what year it was.
Why is she required to be "mistaken" in your world? Why couldn't Kavanaugh be the one who "mistakenly" tried to undress her and grind away? Because per people that "know" him cannot possible know, or vouch, for him. Their personal opinions of Kavanaugh have absolutely no bearing on this situation.
while I'm at it, trump revealing classified information about an ongoing investigation of himself is about the clearest example of abuse of power I can think of.

considered, fine. But without any proof, an unsubstantiated 36 year old allegation ruining someone's life. What he says should be considered as well. Find me the 4th person at this party that will say Kavanaugh was there, and I will give the accusation more credence. Kavanaugh says he was not even at this "party" of 4, whenever it occurred which the woman making the allegation that is was Kavanaugh does not recall.
When you are being considered for SCJ, that’s what you can expect to go through. He knew that and he surely knew that any skeletons in the closet may pop out. He will have his say and a decision will be made.
The 65 women who came to the support of Kavanaugh immediately after the allegation went public tells you that this sexual attack was discussed by the Trump "team" before it became public. Kavanaugh was prepared for this. Why so?

You mean serve out his term and retire early - not removed from job. He may step down but they won’t remove him. Plus he is presumably a smart guy - he’s not going to lie, he’s going to dance around the truth under oath if he’s guilty. I could be wrong about that, given his record.
If he did this, he will have to lie at this point. They can and will ask very pointed questions that he will not be able to dance around. He has already gone all in on this. He will lie to his grave (if he did indeed do this).
He won't lie in the legal sense of perjury. He will "not recall" any relevant details and give non-answers to pointed questions as he did in the previous hearings. Pretty much any lawyer or politician, excepting Trump, is capable of doing this.
Trumpettes are NOT Americans!
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Dude, question has been answered by me. You cling to hope that Trump is an innocent guy. He's not.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.

No vote for Kavanugh on Thursday as planned. Is that what Trumpers consider a "win"?

He has categorically denied that this happened and has said he wasn't even at the party. I will be shocked if he does the "do not recall" bit, and if he does that, he's done. He is all in and must state that either she is flat out lying or has him confused with someone else. He will state clearly and unequivocally that he did not do this.
With any luck, the Dems will find a way to stop Kavanaugh for the time being, then re-take the Senate and sit on ANY nominee until the election in 2020. Why not? It's what the Republicans have done, and would do.

Or the transparency that Obama promised but never delivered.
Depends on which color glasses you are wearing.

Conservative lawyer whines Mueller’s carefully-worded Manafort deal makes it virtually impossible for Trump pardon
“What is most concerning to me is that Mr. Mueller, who is a part of the executive branch and is supposed to follow all of DOJ’s policies and procedures, is specifically seeking to impede the ability of the president to exercise his constitutional pardon authority,” said David Rivkin, a Justice Department official under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.

Hi Flagpole!
I see what you mean now. He can't even answer a Yes/No question.
If he backs off from the specific denials he has already gone pubic with he is toast. He won't. No dancing. You may choose not to believe him. But then it would come down to "he said, she said". Is that the standard for being disqualified for a job, including the Supreme Court? If so, you can block anyone you like by accusing them of doing something they can't prove they did not do.
