Jim was a nobody, until the past yr when he dropped a whole lot of time and started running 100-140 miles per week in singles. This is why people suspect drugs.
Running 140 in singles for 1 month wasn't hard for me, but it made me slower.
You don't need drugs to do that. Just will power.
140 in singles isn't unheard of for a top ultrarunner.

So what you are saying is that you are a casual fan of american ultra running. Kouros and Fordyce are arguably the greatest ultra runners (they had different specialties) ever.

Jim Walmsley does NOT run 140 miles per week in singles.
Kilian already announced he's racing UTMB this year so he and Jim will be squaring off. However, I'd call Francois D'Haene the favorite right now based on his recent performances. We've yet to see what Jim is capable of on the real Euro scene. It's whole different game.

Killian just ran up a big mountain a couple times and then dusted Max King and the guy who broke his Zegama record (Stian) in a 42k. I'm picking him for the UTMB win. It would be fun to see Walmsley just jog behind Killian the whole day and see if he could keep up at the end.
Jim still hasn't won a major race and flops under pressure/competition. His weaknesses is his inability to persevere through adversity. Something goes wrong and he completely throws in the towel. Tired of reading and watching videos using him as a model of perseverence. No sir, how about show the people who actually succeed and win big while persevering? His posse needs to shut up until he wins big. I predict he DNS at UTMB and picks another low level ultra trail world tour event or something domestic. He proves nothing by continuing to pick races that are time trials against himself.

Watch how little kids run the 5ks we are all running on the 4th of July. They take off at Age Group World Record speed for a 5k, then burn up before the end. Jimmy is doing the same thing but Twitter is littered with praise for trying to set the WS record. Blowing up at 60 miles into a 100 mile isn't courageous, it is just plain stupid.
