I've run in the asics gt-2000 for a while, and it's comfortable for me but feels so heavy. Are there any good alternatives that are more lightweight? Shoes with wide-ish toe boxes would be best.

DS Trainer?
Adidas Adizero Tempo boost?
Haven't tried the DS trainer, I'll look into that.
I tried the tempo boosts and the forefoot was too tight for me.
Thanks for the suggestions!
DS Trainer for sure. I train in an older model of the GT-2000 and wear the DS Trainers for speed work and long races.
The neutral New Balance Vazee Pace 2 - similar weight to the Trainer
I used to have those, now I wear Topo Ultrafly. They're very comfortable, nice wide toe box. They're a little lighter than the Asics but not that light. I've never tried them but I've heard good things about the Asics hyper speed, which I believe is very light.
I have run in 5 or 6 pairs of DS Trainers and they are my all time favorite shoe. I also think that the GT-2000 is a bit sturdy for me, I much prefer shoes like Saucony Kinvara and New Balance Fresh Foam Zante. I would compare the DS Trainer to those two.
Looks like I'm going with the DS Trainer. Thanks everyone!
