All good points though it sucks to get fired. If she was an athletic administrator she would of been promoted.

U of O's multis assistant multis is leaving, word is they may hire a sprints coach to replace him
Hardly anyone in our profession gets fired for poor athletic results...especially the week before conference. I can even name some P5's that clearly haven't cared about athletic performance in YEARS. So it was likely something much more mundane...like pis$ing off the wrong administrator or not meeting enrollment numbers - especially at a DIII. That said, I have ZERO knowledge of the situation.
Jamie Cook is an incredible coach. If he's leaving Oregon it has to be for something pretty big. He has success in everything he does. This weekend at the Pac-12 decathlon competition his guys went 1-2. I hope he's getting a good head coaching gig somewhere.

Maybe the $$$ at Texas A&M lured him in
Jamie Cook is one of the smartest and most passionate coaches out there. Literally was the best hurdles coach in the world last year with two Olympic finalist - Cabral and Allen. Along with having a vaulter score at nationals and always excellent multi-events. He hopefully is off to great things.

Rather, it seems that keeping a coach despite the terrible results for that coach's event group does a disservice to the sport that we love and is an insult to the profession of coaching track and cross.
By this logic, every staff should be in nearly constant turnover.
Ultimately, this is logic that's blind to so many factors. What if she was the main recruiter of both sprinters headed to Nats? Then what?
Success has many parents, but failure is an orphan. Good luck to you with your pessimism.
Sandy Fowler is horrible human being and does not deserve a job that manipulates and brings down people on a daily basis.
Meeeeeooooowwww. Example? Back up your statment.
Is she getting new assistants?
The question I have is what will happen to Grimes at Coastal. Fowler has the same event coaching skills (though without the same success) so will sh be th first to go?
Grimes is terrible
d2 head job at Coker opened up yesterday.
Heard the head coach was let go but have no idea why.
Also heard that Mankato did informal interview this week for a possible hire.
St. Cloud State also in the process of interviews, not a renewal situation there.
Queens University has had on campus interviews happen already.
Volunteer PV coach at Hawai'i is leaving his position, been there for 14 years.
The University at Buffalo will be looking for a jumps/PV/multi coach this summer. Coach Esler announced his resignation to the team last week to pursue other interests. It's a good job with solid pay. It should get some interest.
Assistant XC/track opening soon at Penn State. Current assistant will probably be leaving soon to find a head distance job somewhere else

This is far from the truth
