If you bring a stud for a visit, no headcoach will deny you a full ride. The kid from UVA, name a school that would offer him less than 100%?

Care to explain how? Maybe I don't want to be a head coach then...

Tremendous resources but I would say UA hasn't taken off like you would have thought. Coach Yush is a pretty bright guy, so I can only guess it is a money play.
I don't know how accurate the rumors are and maybe it is totally false but I heard last summer he was growing frustrated with Shaver about the lack of funding/scholarships he received in comparison to other event groups. Hopefully he's making a good move but it's an interesting move regardless.
Three coaches leave a prominate program in the same year, that's got to tell you something about who's running the show. From what I've experienced in my 25 years of coaching, it can't be good. Yush is a great guy, and I'm certain will be a great asset to the Alabama staff.
The problem Yush faces is great throws programs at Ole Miss and Georgia especially so its an uphill climb but maybe better at Bama than in the bayou with Dennis.

Programs like LSU and Bama aren't looking for there throws group to compete with Georgia and ole miss, I.e programs that are putting at least 50% of their scholarship money into throws. No what yush faced is trying to compete with the teams getting the 4-8th places at conference while he gets almost zero scholarship money to work with. I'm guessing Shaver wants you to make something out of nothing, I'm sure bama is similar but will probably give yush 2-3 scholarships to work with.

No one is putting at least 50% of their scholarship money into throws. Ole miss probably isn't even at 25%
I heard Yush found out that Ashley Madison is still going strong in Alabama and is looking to make a comeback
Another position named. Changes still happening. https://weberstatesports.com/news/2017/9/14/track-field-weber-state-track-names-robert-weir-assistant-coach.aspx
Heard the Southeastern coach is in at LSU. It's a done deal.

Job pays under 50k to live in an extremely expensive area.

True. Wonder what happened there? That guy had been there like 30 years.

Roland is the MAN. Develops good people, not just athletes. He will be missed.
Unc has a position open what event group though?
Roland was, I believe, part-time for most, if not all of his career. A great example of an outstanding coach flying under the radar for an entire career.
Agreed. Best of luck to Roland in retirement. Well earned.
If you could give a young advice on how to really sell yourself to a head coach to get a Assistant Job what would that advice be ?????
Learn proper grammar.
