Very impressed that Cornell has been able to get solid "replacements" on such short notice. I noticed they did the same thing with their new throws coach last year. Is the pay really good at CU or something?

You realize their new throws coach did HORRIBLE last year, right? Rudy was the only thrower he had qualify for regionals. And Rudy was coached by his own private coach. They have a ton of talent in the throws and it's quite embarrassing how poorly they performed.

New coach comes in after the fall begins, no indoor facility on campus until the spring semester, and almost exclusively underclassmen? Can't see why they might struggle? Maybe give the dude another year to decide if he sucks or not?
Pay at Cornell is quite solid in general but looks even better given the moderate cost of living in the Tompkins County area (even lower cost of living in Broome and Cortland counties nearby if you don't need to be in Ithaca).
Not sure that's fair. Looking at the roster it doesn't look like he inherited anybody with a particularly strong resume on the men's side other than Rudy. Other NCAA guys like Mozia and Robbins had graduated. And it seems on the women's team the school has only had 1 or 2 women even make the regionals in the last 7 years in the throws, so not a strong tradition in recent years with the women
Give the guy time to see if he can get it going.
I went and read the post, and it looks like Pyle and Fazier's job consolidated into one.
Montreat College assistant coach position filled...
Any rumors on who is going to get Head CC/Asst Coach job at UNC Charlotte?
What about the TWC HC job? Rumors?
Any word on Coe College HC position?
Any rumors on the University of North Texas job?
Stefanie had done a great job there in recruiting and was competing with some of the larger schools in the state to get good student-athletes.
Probably needs to be a female hire?
Is there any confirmation that Gibby is going to Harvard?
How about this..https://twitter.com/amgibb1/status/891488470467833857

Not sure if admissions posts a list of accepted students??
With all the stuff surrounding the Harvard firing, why on earth would they not hire a female or at least any old man??? The craziness at Harvard continues.
Maybe Gibby will coach the men and the former men's coach will take over the women and be responsible for correcting the issues
Exactly what's happening.

That is the worst idea ever. It's not gonna happen.

Nope, Rojo stated earlier that Gibby will take both genders and Saretsky has the 800 + director duties. That is what is happening.

I would have understood if they were only looking to hire a female, but I think that is a mistake a lot of schools make. Hire the most qualified coach that applied, then properly check his/her background to make sure he/she isn't a pervert.
There must be some male coaches out there that don't try to sleep with their athletes, right?

Looking at the description, questions come to mind:
It looks like this is a combined program. Are there unlisted volunteer assistant's there? "Extensive travel including international recruiting travel" and handling horizontal, vertical, and PV is a lot of load, not to mention the technical aspect at meets. How does one juggle "extensive travel" for recruiting and handle training?
