Jesus I've never seen a bunch of joggers get destroyed in an argument as bad as they just did. Good on you, couldn't have said it better myself.
That makes the tally 0-2 on cycling vs running threads. Any joggers wanna start a 3rd thread?

Destroyed?
Cyclist ride a damn bike because they suck at running.
It's that simple.

I saw that entire lengthly post about why one extreme bicyclist wears streamlined clothing and the benefits of it. Then went on to explain how extreme bicycling can be dangerous down hill and how they prepare for the unexpected. Then further defended the reasoning to stop and get coffee at Starbucks. (Probably wearing his helmet, aerodynamic sporty sunglasses, and his zipper shirt zipped down about a third of the way when the coffee order is placed.) Then i saw some stuff regarding body fat? I dont know what there is to say about that since when it comes to endurance sports, bicylists top the charts when it comes to the term SKINNYFAT. Overall, i seen a guy who posts on here and thinks he's lance armstrong with two balls doesn't mean he destroyed anything but the 50 minutes it took him to him to explain himself.

I wear a national champ kit because I was able to compete for the national championship and no one has ever said to my face it's a major "no-no". What world do you live in?
Obviously if you won it you're not one of the poseurs.

I ride a bike because it's more fun than running, the opportunites for sub elites and non elites are much better, the team aspect, I live in a great place for cycling, and the "running community" is terrible in my neck of the woods.

The real world. People probably don't want to ask you about the National Peter Pan champs.
You know that you said the runners are winning? You're right, you couldn't say it better yourself because you can't do anything well. Even cycle.
But your kit looks nice and tight.
God, those are sh1tty reasons, but sounds like you are happy. guess you don't understand running. It's a lone wolf sport, no peloton needed.

A cyclist ranting on a running forum is a bi like an Atheist ranting in Church.
If an Atheist was dumb enough to do that.

Haha. What would be a good reason then? And did you forget to switch between your troll handles when you posted about being a national champ earlier.

That might be the funniest thing I've ever read on this forum. You likely are a jogger so you're not being sarcastic, but I am going to take it that way because it's hilarious.
BTW I ran the 800/4x4 D1 and switched to cycling for the challenge. If a long sprinter can mess around and win the local 5k...then its not all that tough.

You just said the running community was weak so of course you can win a local 5k. Geez. Did you fall and crack your helmet?

Laugh at them all you want, but if athletics had bothered marketing such scams maybe our pros could make a decent amount of money from sponsors, too
I promise, just like the iAAF, everyone is broke bit a couple of stars.

Nobody on LRC jogs. Get your facts straight.

UCI (2012): “It is very pleasing to see that the men`s professional cycling is prospering in these difficult times. Most of the cyclists within the professional peloton can live very well, or at least comfortably, on their salaries thanks to the support of sponsors who invest in this sport. These sponsors are attracted by the extremely good visibility cycling provides them throughout the year.â€â€¦â€This result shows that cycling is in a healthy position and resisting the effects of the current global economic downturn.â€

Nobody on LRC runs either. We just talk about running.
Because you must obey the rules
I have to admit and being totally honest, yeah I don't get the "dressing up costume" effect on these cyclist that I see on my daily runs in the hood, I guess no different than you seeing me running w/my head phones on and calling me a hobby jogger..:)
