Obviously you're right about the rides, but aren't you allowed to receive supplies via mail, drops and trail magic? I thought that was allowed for unsupported.
Also - and I am not saying this to try to verify her claims - we need to stop saying that she was not experienced or knew nothing about thru-hiking and endurance. Regardless of how crazy she is or what claims she seems to be making, she did spend a good amount of time on the AT and thru-hiked the entire thing before the yo yo for the record. She had her trail legs on her.
Did she break the FKT? No way. Was she an experienced AT thru-hiker? Yes.
