This is no joke, I saw Chris Farley run 46 sec for 400 in high school.

Were you on the same drugs that killed him?
Wasn't Garth Brooks a decathlete for OK St. or something like that?
Garth threw the jav for Ok State. Over 200', I think, maybe even over 220'.
I heard that Iggy Pop also threw the shot in Jr. Coll over 60' once.
Mike Coley ran 1:52.5 at Santa Maria high in 1963.
He broke the previous school record of 1:58.0 set in 1932.
Ralphie May went 1.43 in the 100m. I mean, 1 minute and 43 seconds.
Is that race is in Portland, OR?

Don't know if Dana will be there, but I wouldn't say he won't be there either. I can guarantee his brother Scott will be there though.Better mark 12/14 on your calendar Coach. First Pabst on me.Joe
There is no Decathlon at the Texas State meet.
AND I BET THEY ALL DID IT IN TRAINERS
The base player (tall skinny guy)of the Bare Naked Ladies ran 1:55ish in the 4 x 800 at the university of toronto. In interviews he always mentions how running relaxes him.
I went to HS in the same district (Tamalpais, Marin County, CA) as Robin Williams (not the same year). His 1:57 880y has already been mentioned, but he also was on the Redwood High 4x440y record-setting relay team. They ran in the 3:20 range.
When driving in the Presidio (Seacliff) recently, I saw him and his kids in front of their house, taking in the groceries. I was going to ask him if he wanted do any easy 10. After realizing that humoring every fan who wanted to go for a run could lead to 500 miles a week, I decided against asking him.
Here are the official HS records for Redwood.
You see him on the 800 and 4x400 list.

Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson, Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, and Ruben Studdard once ran a marathon relay against Jason Rexing. Jason Rexing was wearing trainers and carried Ruben Studdard for Ruben's leg of the relay and still won by 3 hours. In defense of the other team, they ran 3 hours and 2 minutes.

Wasn't Alice Cooper state X-C champ?
Probably not. But in this interview with SI it is mentioned that he was a 4:32 miler and still runs today, though he is now in the 6:10 range.
Oops. Forgot the link.
mensracing.com has a link to an interview where Carvey talks about his running. The link is to the LA Times web site, which requires (free) registration. The mensracing site is:

The Carvey link is the last item in the July 8, 2002 group.
