Jenkins being a part of the NOP is trained very similar and has that same training exposure and speed. From what I understand Mo and Jenkins are both aerobically more strong than Centro (Mo has ran 3:28 how many times?), so it makes sense as to why Eric came out on top.
Im not sure why anybody is shocked. Centro's season ended the minute he crossed the finish line in Rio. The post medal letdown was evident from his last race in Europe, Im sure his workouts have a backed down as he did mention his season was over prior and this mile has be considered a fun weekend by many of the elites coming back from Europe.
Colby he is peaked for this race and as well Jenkins, this is big for them and a shot at beating Centro, they were 100% ready. I do like it the the young guys were out for blood and lets them finish their season on a high note.
