There's nothing wrong with me talking about my Orioles fandom on our fan forum/messageboard. It's my personal opinion and doesn't impact the journalism I do on the front page. This forum is the equivalent of sports radio where people give their personal opinions.

Modern day journalism is full of journalists admitting they are fans. Bill Simmons has made a career of it.

Plenty of other people clearly care as well as this story has been retweeted all over the place. The fact that his missed the first pitch was also newsworthy enough to make it into the Baltimore Sun.

The non-sports activiites of Ryan Lochte and Colin Kaepernick aslo have been in the news lately as well.

More proof that Centro is a massive POS who is so slow that I can beat him at every distance on any day. I'd say set up for 12 rounds in the ring (since he is a "boxer") but I'd knock him out in 40 seconds. I can't wait for this loser to get busted for doping or retire. Either one would be a glorious day for track and field.

I write better and faster Python code than Centro. I do my own accounting and tax filings, and much faster than Centro. I find the best deals on gasoline using Gas Buddy on my iPhone which is a way cooler phone than Centro's. I never book a hotel without getting a Best Rate Guarantee bonus. Centro can't do this so he sucks.

Does growing up in a certain city require you to root for the team from that city. What is wrong with being a fan of the team you enjoy watching?

Can you just be a fan of the game and be impressed by good playing no matter what teams are on the field?

Couple of years ago I was visiting in North Carolina and went to a local HS track meet.

I had great fun without having a rooting interest in the outcome of any of the races.

If I was scheduled to throw out the first pitch, I'd get there early to watch BP and hopefully chat with the guys. Sounds like he didn't make it a priority.

Actually, it is people like you who fail to hold people accountable for their actions. Centro dug his own hole with this gaffe. His defenders look like fools pointing their fingers at others for a error Centro made.

An entire stadium of people is not as important as Centro. Barf.
