Galen is going to kill it. The white boy from Prineville Oregon is one of a kind and is going to make history medaling in both the 10K and Marathon. His fitness and preparation are off the charts. Suck it Kenyan and Ethiopia.

ROFL!!! Joke of the Week.
No way he medals in both. MAYBE Bronze in the 10K if the pace if fast, but his best chance of any medal is in the Marathon (assuming the 10K final was not too fast, in which case he won't medal in that. If he medals in the 10K, he won't be in peak shape to medal in the marathon.
Dude it doesn't take 8 days to recover from a 10K. (They're 8 days apart right?) He'll warm up with the 10K and then the Marathon he'll be ready to kill it.
10K
1. Mo
2. Galen
3. Geoffrey
Marathon
1. Galen
2. I stop watching once Galen crosses the line...
Rupp has got this locked up. LOCKED! He'll be masked up, aerotaped up, thyroid meded up, and Salazar-massaged up--kid is going to soar like pollen in the breeze.
Rupp = ZERO MEDALS
I hope he runs the 10k as a tempo warm up for the marathon. Better chance at the marathon, but that's been discussed too much.
I have always defended Galen as one of the all-time pretty good Americans, right up there with probably Ian Dobson and maybe Steve Plascencia. Certainly competitive and has a fine chance to make the final if he works hard.
Prineville?? Thought it was PDX?
Kipchoge will win the marathon. Rupp bronze.

Didn't you read his book? Oh wait he never wrote one. Anyway he was born in Prineville. Not sure why his Wikipedia page say Portland but I believe it's an error. He did grow up and lived most of his life in Portland.

As a Central Catholic XC runner, I can verify this.
hell yeah i love Galen Rupp... if u don't think he can medal get ur head checked!!!
I know Halen will win a doped up gold medal! It is going to be awesome for Halen and Saldazar!

Oh hell yes! I heard he's just gonna go after it Saturday. Look for Galen to drop a 54/55 on laps 14 and 15. Then settle into a nice prance, and bring sexy back over the final 1000m, closing in about 65. Go Galen, go!

Did you put your brain in ice water to cool it down? It was effective.
Look how nice and calm your post is now.
(I think it might also help with post-workout recovery on hard days…but I am not sure.)
Why are these "Rupp boys" starting their Rupp worship so early?
The race is days away.
I sure hope all of the Nike Speedy Duct Tape™ that Alberto will have Galen wrapped in does not stick to itself…like it did at the Olympic Trials…when Bernard Lagat ran the last 400m in 52.82 and absolutely DESTROYED Rupp AGAIN!
What was Galen's last lap in that Olympic Trials 5K?
I am sure the "Rupp boys" will be able to tell us.
