makscooter I'm wondering why would you need 3000 ready cash.
Thanks for sharing.

No. You can swipe the card as soon as they start ringing your stuff up. Then when they tell you the total, you just hit "accept."
This really isn't new technology. You should be familiar with it by now.
Including what I keep in my room, right now I've got 42k on me. Sometimes I'll have over 100k on me (in my room), depends how I'm running in poker (it is currently what I do for a living).
Cash economy. I get paid mostly in cash. I pay my vendors in cash on the spot. They come in with a case of designer goods. They want cash on the spot.

For the last couple months I've had $1 in my wallet. I've tried to spend it in the vending machine at the office but nothing I want costs $1 which is not a bad thing. Most likely I'll stick it into a change machine to get quarters for laundry.
Yes, I live in a 6,500 square foot mansion on 100 acres with my super model wife, 4 perfect children, 3 pedigree welsh corgis, a small cadre of servan...property maintenance engineers, and my elderly mother in law, but I really enjoy connecting with humanity through the commoner's laundromat. There's something revealing and unifying about washing clothes with the poor and maladroit. Mayhaps it is my inner Dolly Lama or Mothermahat Matheresa?
I keep between20 and 100. Some places it is easier to pay cash for small purchases.
A few years ago (after the bubble crash) I had a credit card near max from remodelling a couple houses I hadnt sold yet. I was taking a trip to Oregon from Ohio so I paid 10k on the card so I would have plenty of available credit and would only need to take one card. A few days later Chase wacked my credit limit 10k even though I had this card over 20 years. I found out when I was trying to check in to a hotel I had booked right by the ocean so they had left me with just a couple hundred bucks available who h I had already used mostly for gas.. Luckily I had booked with another card. I was also lucky one of my renters had given me a cash payment the day I left or I really would have been in trouble. Had just enough cash to get home.
I would have had to wait 2 days until Monday and a bunch of phone calls to have cash taken out of a checking account and paid to the credit card company.
Needless to say, I immediately cancelled the card when I got home.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
