They're saying 6:11 at 2km
I do. I could go back and watch it. But it just seemed way fast. Do you not read what I type? Great minds think a lot.
Kipp finished 5th but then sat down and was in tears. Let's hope she's not injured.
Rice grad Lenny Waite was also a DNF. I saw her with her shoe off in great pain in the middle of the race. She's been named to the Olympic team. Let's hope she's not hurt.
Here's a hypothetical. If you are Waite and hurt, do you still go to the Olympics and run just to drop out. I think I would in her case.
1 Habiba Ghribi 9:21.35 for the win previous best this year was 9:31.21 in her only other race of the year
2 Stephanie Garcia 9:26.26 SB
3 Purity Kirui 9:30.95
4 Aisha Praught 9:31.75 PB
5 Shalaya Kipp 9:34.412
6 Sara Louise Treacy 9:39.41 PB
7 Caroline Tuigong 9:41.14
The steeple has such a range of talent. #1 in the world 8:59 this year and #1 9:21.15
Ghribi doesn't look like she'll be a factor in Rio but she's the Olympic champ and got silver last year
good news for coburn?
British commentators talking about Pozzi into the final only to here he won't start. Wow
Garcia DQ'd? Any idea what happened?

Yes, Ghiribi certainly didn't look very good.
I went back and watched it. The 1st 1k might have been ok. The first full lap was 70.
From the finish line, the first two laps were 72.10 and 73.6. 72s would be 9:03-4 on a normal inside jump so if it was off, it wasn't off by much.
What is up here, 1 DNS, and 2 DSQ in the 110m hurdles

She and Cheever were both DQd for 163.3.b which deals with Lane Infringmenet. Here is the rule.
in all races (or any part of races) not run in lanes, an athlete
running on a bend, on the outer half of the track as per Rule
162.10, or on any curved part of the diversion from the track
for the steeplechase water jump, shall not step or run on or
inside the kerb or line marking the applicable border (the
inside of the track, the outer half of the track, or any curved
part of the diversion from the track for the steeplechase water
jump).
except as stated in Rule 163.4, if the Referee is satisfied, on the
report of a Judge or umpire or otherwise, that an athlete has
infringed this Rule, he shall be disqualified.
what a messy and weird 110mh
Ghiribi ran over 9:31 in her other race this year so you could say this was a step in the right direction.
Last year, she'd run 9:11 heading into Worlds.
Sigh, whats the point of pace makers if nobody goes with them
Stefanidi is the only one over 4.72 in the pull vault. Gao leads the long jump with 8.11
Women's 200m up next. Silva has cleared 4.72 now.
Ludlow knows she let this one get away.
This was her chance to win a DL and it slipped away. (I take that back she won this meet in 2012)
Shelayna Oskan Clarke who hadn't run under 2:00.73 this year got the win over Ludlow (1:57.68 this year) and Lynsey Sharp (1:57.75)
The pacemaking was atrocious.

Actually the pace maker was asked to go through in 56 and she went in 56.7, she did her job, just nobody went with her.
what is up with Chanelle Price?
awful result from her
Very interesting 800. No one with the rabbit who hit 400 in 56.
Luldlo low in 58 mid with the two British Oympians Shelayna Oskan-Clarke and Lynsey Sharp in 2nd and third. It was same top 3 at 600 (1:29.20). Theyw ere single file on the final turn but coming off the final turn the two Brits tried to make a race of it. After it looked like SHapr would go from third to first. Then I thought Ludlow might hold them off. THen as Sharp came up Oskan-Clarke responded and got the win in the final meters.
And SHarp moved up to 2nd.
Ludlow went from 1st to 3rd in the final 10, maybe even 5 meters. She has a horrible final 10 meters. She like had the race and yet somehow ended up third.
1. Shelayna Oskan-Clarke 159.46
2. Lynsey Sharp 1:59.54
3. MOlly Ludlo 1:59.56
4. Winny Chebet 1:59.88
..
Price 2:03.40
How fast will Schippers run in the 200m?

We all just saw why she's a multi-time 4th placer. For whatever reason, whether psychological or physical, she's horrible at the finish. Personally, I think it's pyschological. The only final 20 meters of the Trials she was close but not just running with a vengeance. And then what told me was her head turn at the finish as if she wanted to confirm she indeed she was 4th.
