As for the others, I agree. The penalty for hacking seems about right. Just because a password as not changed does not mean a crime was committed. If you left your house for a run and did not lock the door and came back to find people taking all your stuff, would it be legal just because the door was left unlocked?
.
He should have hired a novel defense attorney. Don't teams steal signs in baseball? Argue it's part of the game.
Elizabeth Holmes deserves time and in fact it was only her looks and self-presentation skills that allowed her company to be ridiculously over-valued, and based on no actual technology that I know of. Apparently, her board was a give-away, famous people but none of the key Silicon Valley investment players. To get 4 years in prison for hacking the Astros database is ludicrous. What about the Affluenza kids? What about the cops who killed Freddie Gray?
And serial rapist Dominique Strauss-Kahn gets portrayed as a victim and never gets put on trial.

What did the brosjo do besides crimes against the English language?
For someone who went to Yale, you sure have a disappointing ability to grasp common thought and logic.

rojo wasted the opportunity to learn anything at a much better school than Yale (Sucks)
The Theranos lady never committed fraud. She simply marketed some BS that had zero credibility. People bought it and boom she made money. Doesn't that sound like every product in the world?
It's not illegal to start a business. You can go open a sand shop tomorrow and tell people if they rub it on their stomach they will get the perfect abs of their dreams in 8-10 months. Slap on a nice 60 days money back if not satisfied guarantee and boom you'll make your millions and you won't go to prison when it turns out 10 months later that it's just regular sand and you lied.

He stole millions of dollars' worth of information.

How can some of you be so misinformed???
Not based on any actual technology??? Not only is there a technology, it has a specific name. They are calling it the Edison device. Similar technologies have been around for at least 20 years.
They are not overvalued. Their technology supposedly can reduce the medical costs by 50-75% percent. When you can do that, you can take over an entire industry. That industry is worth well over a billion dollars. Their valuation is fine.
Not only that, but they are actively making money and doing business with many organizations. The problems were at their California lab. Their lab in Arizona is mostly or completely fine. The investigation is still underway. No proof has been found of intentional illegal activities. There's not even any proof that their technology doesn't work.
You are 100% wrong on everything you just said.

Nope, completely wrong. You should not be allowed to vote.

Good thing he's got an Ivy League education. I hear they only take the best and the brightest. with not a bit of favoritism involved. True story.
Funny how that works.
why would you give that dude any benefit of the doubt? i know you think you're being objective, but you're ignoring some important stuffwhat the hell is wrong with you? did you sexually assault someone once too?

Don't forget Dick Cheney who was drunk and shot a guy in the face.
Or Ted Kennedy who drunk drove a woman to her death.

She looks like the girl who just won the 11th grade spelling bee.
rojo,
Yes, but Holmes wears the Silicon Valley phony uniform, in her case a black turtleneck. I understand that her mind is filled with so many important issues that the trivial decisions of "what to wear" must be foregone. Can you imagine going from $5 Billion in net worth to zero in a few months? How about the Who's Who board of directors, that knew nothing about science? Convenient huh?

I find it interesting that the very black Vanderbilt football player charged with the exact same thing as the white Stanford kid got 15 years last week and he at lrast afmitted he r shouldn't have done it while the Stanford guy and his Daddy are unrepentant.
Have to laugh at Theronos board of directors and investors . They are a who's who of age 60 plus Silicon valley veterans and hedge fund whizzes who got suckered by a little girl. Well played , Elizabeth.

You have a severe reading comprehension problem.
In the football case, it was a gang rape in her dorm room. The rapists took photos and videos of the rape. There was concrete proof that the rape occurred. There was also an admission of guilt.
In the Stanford case, there was no proof whatsoever and there was no admission of guilt. It was also not a gang rape. There was no sex.
You really consider those two cases to be the exact same thing???
