The Bible for overall view of life. And for attitude...."Oh, The Places you will Go, by Dr. Seuss.
The Chrysalids - Wyndham
It - Stephen King (messed me up for quite some time during high school)
Fountainhead - Rand (not for political reasons - just found it entertaining)
Chronicles of Narnia - CS Lewis (had no idea they were a christian parable until 10 years after the fact)
A Fine Balance - Mistry (one of the few books that inspired me to become a better person - doesn't mean I have, just that I'm inspired to be)
The Moor's Last Sigh - Rushdie
The Kite Runner - ??? (realised that I really don't like who I am most of the time)
Anne of Green Gables - Montgomery (I think my parents thought I was gay)
Great Apes - Will Self (helped me get through Paris to Madrid via night train)
Collected Poems - TS Eliot (for when I feel like being melodramatic)
Which Lie Did I Tell - W. Goldman (great insider's account of hollywood)
A Brief History of Time - Hawking (for a brief moment I actually believed I was intelligent)
Pre (not sure if that was what it was called) - Tom Jordan (probably read it 50 times between the ages of 17 to 20. The only thing the book did for me was to cause me to get so worked up that I would go out very hard and fade very fast, sometimes dropping out).
Once a Runner - never read it. Maybe that's why I've never taken my running to the next level...
Can you tell I'm pretty bored today?
