Edmonton is at 2116 feet, does this have any impact on 800m times?
Less O2, but less wind resistance as well.

No.

Yes
I ran there
Best town to run the 800 (if there is no wind)
Perfect altitude for the 800m
Nike put her in that commercial running on the treadmill a few years ago, they had to make sure their investment paid off. Nike's got her on the good stuff - just like Galen.
She trains in Windsor, Canada with Fairall. They are clean.
Melissa is running great, as the second-best-looking W800 runner in Canada!

I live and train in Edmonton for 400mH/800m. The altitude is the perfect balance between the benefit of low air resistance but not so high up as to have no O2. LaShawn Merrit ran here once and dropped a 44.4. Duane Soloman has done 1:44-high, essentially running on his own. Given McBrides, Bishops, and Dutch's performances the last week, I'd say both the track and Edmonton is a great city to race.
Melissa is one of the only women for whom I would leave my wife for tomorrow. No questions asked. Never look back. And keep in my mind my current wife is great. But Melissa is just awesome.[/quote]
Can't agree with you more. One of the great looking women in track and a fantastic, gutsy 800m runner.

I guess there are not any Canadians on this forum.
If she was British and cheated with an RV in the US she would have 5,000 posts.
I have not heard any stories of any doper, cheater, liar, or fraud coming from Canada recently.
I have never said "Please stop it Canadians!"...because the Canadians are always nice and have good behavior...which is the exact opposite of many people from Britain.
This is because Canadians are nice and have integrity…but are boring.
Do you remember Ben Johnson?
The Ben Johnson Canadian Debacleâ„¢ was exciting.
Many Canadians still believe Ben is the true winner because Carl Lewis was obviously a doper as well.

There was no Carl Lewis US Debacleâ„¢.
I heard that Carl took some herbal stimulant…but I am sure that since he is from the US it was just a mistake…that should be covered up.
The scleras of Ben's eyes were bright yellow, indicating jaundice from heavy anabolic steroid use and a bigger, more exciting Canadian Debacleâ„¢.
Does fred live in Edmonton, Canada?
I would like a simple answer fred.
Thank you.
(It is OK if you are Canadian. It is still better than if you are British.)

Canadian Running:
2015
" The two-time national champion got back in shape, spending spring at altitude in Flagstaff, Ariz., a popular training destination for Canadian athletes".
Melissa also trained here? I was not aware of that. I was only aware of:
A nice note from Trent Stellingwerff with ‪#‎teamCanada‬! Congratulations to all these athletes going to ‪#‎rio2016‬!
"Dear crew that helped run Flagstaff….
Now that the team is announced, I just thought I would highlight the number of athletes we had up in Flagstaff this year [14/65] !!!…..and how (at least in my humble opinion) important that camp, and the timing of that camp is….(I’m sure I’m missing some….)
Great Job team that was up there!"
Nathan Brannen, Cambridge, Ont., 1,500 metres
Lucas Bruchet, Vancouver, 5,000 metres
Evan Dunfee, Richmond, B.C., 20-km and 50-km race walk
Iñaki Gomez, Vancouver, 20-km race walk
Geneviève Lalonde, Moncton, N.B., 300,0-metre steeplechase
Lanni Marchant, London, Ont., 10,000-metres, marathon
Jessica O'Connell, Calgary, 5,000 metres
Charles Philibert-Thiboutot, Quebec City, Que., 1,500 metres
Anthony Romaniw, Hamilton, Ont., 800 metres
Andrea Seccafien, Guelph, Ont., 5,000 metres
Hilary Stellingwerff, Victoria, B.C., 1,500 metres
Benjamin Thorne, Kitimat, B.C., 20-km race walk
Chris Winter, North Vancouver, B.C., 3,000-metre steeplechase
Natasha Wodak, Vancouver, 10,000 metres
The Canadians are always nice and have good behavior. Canadians are always welcome. There is no Canadian Banâ„¢ in Flagstaff.
The Brit Banâ„¢ will continue until I decide when to end it.

Wow, is Melissa Bishop ever in great form. Ran all on her own for much of the race, winning easily over the field, which included Williams, who is headed to Rio this year.

What is her current T value?
I live in Ontario. I raced in Edmonton once, and did not notice the 2000 feet, but I was living at 3300.

What do you even know about her?
Seccafien - 5000 - 15:17.81 Los Angeles (USA) 20.05.2016.
Dave/ Speed River's got 8? athletes going to Rio. Come on haters.
Dave must be the greatest coach in Canada.
Guelph Today:
"Speed River and University of Guelph coach Dave Scott-Thomas will also be part of the coaching staff in Rio.
Athletes heading to Rio include longtime Guelph residents Taylor Milne and Eric Gillis.
Guelph native Andrea Seccafien, who trains with a Toronto club, had already booked her ticket to Rio."
Seccafien is not a Speed River athlete- she runs for and trains out of Toronto.
I'm just glad none of the cheating guelph athletes involved in the infamous elbow incident at CIS 2015 are going.

You are right, but Dave is still the best coach in Canada.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
