"A Run by the River" - read it. The author went to Miami University and there are a lot of references to Miami and Oxford, Ohio. It's not really worth reading unless you went to Miami though. Kind of along the same lines as "Once a Runner," but not nearly as good. Some of the stuff in this book is just stupid. Some chapters are good I guess, some not. Kind of a hodge-podge of a few different themes, all brought together by running. Tells the story of a college freshman running on the school's XC team, his relationship with some chica, problems with his roommate, etc. Got going with it and read it in 2 days so, so it is an easy read, but I think there are others better out there.
Can anyone tell me who wrote "Pain"? I saw it once searching around online and can't find it anymore. Sounded like it was along the same lines as these books.
dan middleman wrote pain, not all that great. sounds like a weird dude judging from the book
Is there a section on how Miami of Ohio underperforms? Or did that get lost in the proverbial shuffle as well?
