How's your running going, on a scale of 1-10?
1=Terrible 10=Great.
I'm a 3. Not injured but not racing well either.

7 and on the rise. Had an encouraging race at the weekend and already had the local cold that's going round so it's onward and upward...
-10 -- I am having major medical problems which have limited me to a slow jog of about 20 miles a week

uh yeah, that would be about a 2, running slow on the treadmill with my pelvic stress fracture
about a five and on the rise as well. Had to take four months off from Sept to Jan.1 due to a little accident while cleaning my gutters. Last week was the first week I felt comfortable on my easy run.

Im exactly with simo- finsihed getting sick about 2-3 weeks ago, had a surprisngly good result last weekend. I just need to start running twice a day!
9. It has been VERY wet in SoCal (lousy outdoor training conditions), was sick for a few days 3 weeks ago which spoiled a practice meet (made adjustments), but.....had a workout PR on Saturday, and with the first major outdoor meet in less than 3 weeks, peak seems to be coming at the right time (for once).
6 month injury = 1
-100.....haven't run consistently in over two years. Damn Plantar Facitis all the way to hell.....I am almost certain I am permanently broke. +35 lbs over marathon weight. I am turning in to that guy that I use to look at and think, you're just plain pitiful.
On the bright side, this is what I've learned:
1. Orthotics suck and don't work, but I have some really cool plaster molds of my feet now.
2. Icing sucks and just makes my foot cold.
3. Massage cost money and didn't help...plus it hurt like hell.
4. DMSO is for race horses, and I'm a human. It helped the first time, but never again.
5. Stetching 'more' thus far has not been the answer.
6. X-Rays are just expensive pictures that don't tell us anything.
7. Prescription anti-inflammatory medications are making some exec at Pfizer or Merck really wealthy, and are making me have an ulcer to go with my foot.....maybe more medication can be used to treat the ulcer?
1!!!!! achillies tendinitis
ditto...
