Well i think some people transition much better than others.
I bagged on trackhead for a long time , and was training in pegs for easy days and H's and NB 240's on hard days(plus id try and do around around 20min on grass barefoot every week).
At first my calfs would be sore after hard days. But, after around 3mons of this train i began to notice that i was often LESS sore after hard days, and that the pegs kept feeling mushier and more unstable.
Ive switched completely to H's and 240's( Now i try and get about 10mi barefoot every week) and im into the longest stretch of 80mi weeks of my life(all singles), and my legs feel very strong, i might tweak a tendon every now and again , but after a couple easy days(usally only one will do) i feel fine. I have NEVER been able to do this before.
Im defiantly faster, i think this is partly due to biomechanics, and mostly due to the consistant training.
(by the way im around 6'2 145, so im not super small by any stretch)
So anyway i owe you an apology Trackhead.
and thank you.
