He went from unstoppable to losing / dropping of everything since last winter. Now he’s being pushed by a no name in the first round of the French? All the other top 20 players practically won in straight sets.
Too old? Time to hang em up? Missed a steroid cycle?

The fall off is too strong to be merely age. Dude has looked objectively horrible this year. I have my theories.

All those vaccinated tennis players must be holding potatoes to the injections sites to absorb the poisons. I read about it on u tube so I'm pretty sure its better than science it anecdotal!
I, and millions of others around the world, would swoon if Nadal were to somehow magically win his 15th French Open. But as the tournament begins, my main hope is that Djokovic does not win it. And, for the first time in years, my expectation is that he won’t; the intimations of his tennis mortality have become too loud, the depredations of age finally overtaking him. As his physical powers wane, his fanatical competitiveness and otherworldly mental toughness can only carry him so far. To my eye, Djokovic may be suddenly, finally, done. Which is what I’ve believed about Djokovic in dozens of individual matches over the years … almost all of which he came back to win.

He's just getting old. He'll still go deep in every tournament but the days of him being favored against anyone are over.
Bingo. Just look at the world’s top 150 and tell me how many over 35s are in there (hint, I can count them on one hand). The outlier isn’t Djokovic’s game right now. The outlier was his 2023 at age 36, winning three of four slams. I still expect him to do well in some tournaments, but the fall, when it comes, is harsh and fast. This will likely be his last year. Maybe, maybe one more. Nobody thought this guy would be playing and winning slams near age 40. It’s not possible.
