I've never heard of a decent coach that's a Harvard professor, so I guess his role is to provide the PEDs.
Anyone can buy a team
The proof will be if he can coach his team of hired guns to win a gold
Top 3 in trials is a long distance from top 3 in Olympics
If you never win the big one, by definition you cannot be the best
If any of his guns gets top six it will be amazing
How I am I supposed to feel about this team?
EZ-PASS to citizenship or honorable? Will I see Chelimo in in battle if things go haywire? How do they have the time to train if they're soldiers? How soon until Ches is on that team? Did they go through boot camp?
Read AR 215-1 or other Army Regulations to find your answer.
They went through boot camp and AIT (or OCS).
The WCAP is a 3-yr program leading up to the Olympics.
For each year on WCAP you owe the Army one additional year.
The Army has offered a path to citizenship for a very long time as a recruiting tool. Read into it.

He should go back to writing book. Da Vinvi Code was a brilliant tome.
the whole background to the Code was allegedly "stolen" from holy blood, holy grail.
Love what Army is doing! Its not for everyone. The US government supports US Olympic athletes. Salary, path to fast citizenship, retirement plan, room & board, travel, their job includes training, a secure job once retired from competition, good facilities, good coaching, structure, no doping, and discipline. Other countries routinely do this.

Nope. Lil Scotty has been eliminated but will come on the board under several handles telling us all that he is the man.
Lil Scotty Simmons is indeed little. 5'6" maybe, 5'7". Think that's why people on here call him "Scotty" instead of Scott. He's a man child. Poor guy. He walks like he fell down a flight of stairs. I heard he was drunk after a snowy meet and did fall down.
He's definitely come on here before using various handles to tout his amazing coaching abilities. He's a piece of work.

like the dwarves of legendarium.
Runningart2004, you are incorrect in your response regarding the service obligation. The service member is owes an additional year of service on his base contract, not three or one for one. You are correct on the remainder of your points (branch or MOS qualified prior to acceptance, a 3 year program, and citizenship for service to the US). The frustration individuals express on this thread is the "shortcut" of East Africans within the Program. As an old Army Runner, I share the frustration of many on this board because I know five West Point guys who would have excelled gave the chance to run as a fully time profession. I have no issue with the individuals, but the Program. It started a decline after Kirkpatrick was told to leave. Going forward, I hope the Program gives natural born runners the opportunities to train and compete. As for Dan Browne, he got a lot talent with his boys. I am not surprised by the outcome. The best of luck to them in Rio.
I'm sure he's a fine coach, but it doesn't take much coaching to get Kenyans to qualify in the distances for the U.S. There are dozens, possibly hundreds, of Kenyans at the very least in Kenya that could do it as well, certainly with support.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
