It's funny you gusy write this as we've been getting a lot of tweets, emails, etc from journalists praising us for our work,
We spent a lot of time on the piece including a ton of time working on the tone of the piece. What we reported on Farah wasn't a fishing expeditions. Our collleagues in Spain noticed that Farah had tweeted out that he was France training when in reality the photo was from France. When you add in the fact his agent told us he was unaware of Farah ever training there, we felt it was newsworthy.
You can decided for yourself what it means. Was it simply a case of someone living in Flagstaff going down to Phoenix to do a workout and then tweeting a picture from it but saying they are in Flagstaff? That's for you to decide.
I remember when Nicole Brown Simpson died. I working a Dallas TV station as a summer internt. I remember being being shocked when the guy stold me they were going to mention that OJ Simpson had been a domestic abuser. I was like, "There's zero proof he's involved in this at all." The news guys said, "We are reporting facts. You can make that jump if you want to or not. What we are reporting is a fact."
We are doing similar here.
I wish someone would start a thread devoted to possible explanations for him saying he was in one place when he was in another.
