So Rob Young goes AWOL then all of a sudden there's a major drug bust in Spain? I don't think this is a coincidence at all.
BTW, Dibaba's toe "injury" seemed just fine in that video they posted.

Yo who is Rob Young?

Yes, dibaba is extremely happy, but she just broke the world record so she has the right to be... How happy would you be if you broke a 20+ year old world record? You'd forget about the pain and celebrate like any normal person. He reaction is no indicator that she dopes (not saying she doesn't but your point is invalid).
For two years in high school, my goal was to run a sub 5 minute mile.
A small goal yes, but I had 4:59 written on my ceiling so I would see it everytime I woke up. I wanted it.
When I finally broke it and ran 4:57, I collapsed about 10 seconds after the finish. I was smiling, and I was happy, but I was bent over and breathing hard.

Dick Pound, Hajo Seppelt, and Ross Tucker feel a little differently.
http://edition.cnn.com/2016/06/08/football/doping-in-soccer-euro-2016/A few quotes from the article:
Pound: "We have always had trouble attracting FIFA to the problem. For many years, they sort of didn't think the world anti-doping codes should apply to them. At one time, the world's largest sport's registered testing pool consisted of just 10 players, and you're never going to catch anyone doing that."
Seppelt: "People who say that there is no doping problem in football, that's bull**t," Seppelt told CNN. "People say the drugs have no benefits, but look at the science and the distances covered by players in the game today."
And Arsenal's coach Arsene Wenger: Wenger said his Arsenal had "played against many teams" using performance-enhancing drugs and later stated: "I'm not satisfied with the level of testing."

Diego Maradona of Argentina in 1994 at the US world cup.
That's been over 20 years ago.
Track has always been this dirty. Steroids were only banned by the IOC in 1975. There wasn't a test for testosterone until 1984.
You are all kinds of wrong to believe that FIFA is clean. Where do you want to start? Fewer doping controls? More sophisticated corruption in FIFA? Government interference in anti-doping? The fact that so many teams and players are caught through police action and not WADA testing?
Your post is no ignorant of the culture of FIFA that I have to ask if you are trolling us?
Check out the pictures of Garreth Bale before his move from Tottenham to Real Madrid and after and let me know if you still think there isn't doping in soccer. The top Spanish teams were caught up in the Spanish cycling busts a few years ago, only no one wanted to touch soccer so nothing happened.

Are you that oblivious, Mo? Or were you just putting your head in the sand?
This is a great day for the sport.
People are going to cheat in all walks of life. In athletics doping may be more of a scourge because there isn't team tactics or skill on top of physical speed or endurance or strength.
So when they are caught it is good for the sport not bad. People are currently cheating in all sports.

Man, I don't like how Seb is so obviously in Nike's pocket and biased and provincial but, I have to hand it to him and the IAAF these last few days - first Russia and now Aden's group - including, Dibaba(s)! Even if it is only to help British athletes win more medals, the sport just got a little cleaner this past week. (I hope....)
Doesn't it seem a little suspicious to anyone else that this is happening just when the heat has been turned up on Coe? I guess if he delivers dopers then he may be able to keep his job even though many believe he is also guilty.
Most people on here are never satisfied. I am really glad, for the long term health of the sport, that Aden appears to have been caught.
I think it's becoming increasingly clear that there is widespread and deep seated doping in the sport. This cannot be solved or stamped out overnight or even in a couple of years.
Seb Coe has taken over the IAAF, and regardless of what he knew or suspected was going on, he has done more to clean up the sport in his first year than we have seen from the IAAF in years. People have stated he is weak on drugs and has done nothing but talk about doing something, rather than action. Well, we have seen that he and his council have remained strong over Russia and have put pressure on Kenya to pass laws to enforce OOS testing there, ,and there has been retesting of samples from the last 2 Olympics. Now we have this big bust on the coach of some of the world's premier distance runners.
Yet still all we get is criticism, talk of corruption, cover up, etc.
Well imo, while there is still a mountain to climb, he has shown in these first few steps, that he is serious about catching and rooting out cheats.
Perhaps credit should be given where it is due, rather than deflect what is actually happening with remarks about (a now ended) a Nike connection.
Iirc, Coe wasn't IAAF president when the Salazar claims surfaced last year?
And wasn't it USADA, who has carried out and thrown out the claims made against Salazar?
didn't pay the bribe money
anyone that had something to do with aden
Yes, a lot more has been done in the last year. I am not sure how much cleanup would have occurred without Seppelt and the corruption investigation. I would not say none but I think those almost freed up (or forced) Coe to be aggressive. Things are getting better but it's hard to get excited about the pros anymore and lots of past performances are in question.
Not to mention what he achieved in the 80s. It was Coe that got blood doping to be banned in 86 and independant out of competition testing to be introduced in 87.
Leo may be getting a gold
Taoufik Makhloufi. He left just in time to avoid the heat or did he find a better doctor/coach/pharmacist?

Yes. I was going to say. If I have kids, I will get them into soccer.
Err what? If you think soccer isn't riddled with PEDs you are hopelessly naive... The mutterings from operation Puerto about various Spanish clubs should be the prelude to a thrashing with the old clue stick.
Do you have evidence of Jamaicans doping heavily. Tyson tested positive for a steriod and got off so easy. Jamaicans who have tested positive were found with stimulants which in most cases can be found in every other supplement. Nesta Carter tested positive for a substance that was not banned in 2008.It was not banned until 2010 , but sample tested 8 years later. You are just biased, as long as an athlete is not American he/she should not be the fastest.
:( Nevermind. Just realized T Mak is no longer with Aden.

Do you really think that Philippe's group with Mekhissi is any different than Aden's?!
