All of Russia banned...Nijel gunnin' for gold?
I am trying to imagine the headlines here if Rupp missed three tests and fled after being forewarned of a random test. A lot more has been made of the Farah doorbell incident too. I am not saying Rupp and Farah are clean, I am just surprised at how much more suspicion is directed at NOP vs other groups.

I read the article. I don't think the conclusion is automatically that he is "reportedly a doper".
1) WHen it said he's unsure of his status, that could mean a lot of things. Mabye he smoked a joint. He wasn't sure what happened since he missed another test. You seem to imply that it means he knew he would test positive for a performance enhancer. I think there are other explanations.
2) 3 missed tests in a single year results in a violation. I believe it starts over every single year. How ridiculous is that?
3) If you refuse to take a test, then you are suspended. Refusing a single test is different than missing a test.
the suggestion someone made that he was smoking some sh!t & panicked seems possible...
He supposedly spent the past year trying to establish himself as a DJ in nightclubs. Gee, you think weed and other drugs are consumed on the nightclub circuit? He has been woefully out of shape so far this season, looking puffy even (never thought he would look like that). Can't blame him for wanting to capitalize on his athletic success to try to make a name for himself on the nightclub circuit. He has zero marketability except for maybe the Southern African area.
So if he runs from doping controls we just assume it is because he is smoking weed? I guess people will believe whatever they want to believe.I don't know what he is doing/not doing, but I do know that if somebody is fleeing drug testing it is at the very least suspicious. Hard to imagine why no journalist is looking at this seriously.

I'd bet that not enough major journalists know, and the journalists that do have a hard time getting a deeper story. He did run away, after all.
This should be a big deal. But it is hard to confrim the exact circumstance. Wilson Kipsang's missed test was publicized by AK, making it sound major, but the publication is against protocol, (and Kipsang's alibi was better than "slept through doorbell").
Probably a doper, but wide eyed fans will be not be convined of that conclusion from this incident alone, certainly without more details.

how many athletes get tested more than 3 times in a year? This would be easy to beat for a steady performing lower tier elite who wasn't tested that often.

How was this not considered bigger news given the focus on circumstantial evidence involving other athletes?
If he were a white European or American it would be big news. But being person of color from one of the favored third world countries adored by the powers that be, Nijel will be well taken care of.

Same protocol I use for my athletes.
Has there been any investigation into the reports that Amos is skipping drug tests due to concern he will test positive due to his use of PEDs?
He's apparently not back on the good stuff. He got spanked in London.
