Not quite there, son. The ultra turtles had been on this guy for a month and nothing happened. LRC gets wind of it, he gets shut down in a matter of days.
If we hadn't scruntinized his claims, gotten this story to the press and put the pressure on, he'd still be riding in the RV enjoying the scenery roll past.
Once again, the power of LRC nabs another one.
Bake him away, toys

Some of you are as delusional and self back patty as RY's followers.
Well, that was epic. I clicked on this link randomly days ago and read the barely comprehendible first posting. What drew me in eventually was not this run, but outrageous manipulation of internet media (Facebook, Wikipedia, etc).
Then the claims that "don't worry, we got this" by the Ulist guys. It wasn't just that LRC'ers weren't taking physical action, but were being called off the chase.
When Laz and crew first joined the case, most of us were a bit skeptical I believe. But Laz proved to be as wise and cagey as promised! It was exactly like the dad who catches his kid smoking and says "oh yeah? smoke this whole pack right in front of me if you think it's so cool!"
Good job, but sorry to see Rob in this light, he obviously has some talent for this.

Gotta agree that lets runners did the heavy lifting, but the ulisters provided an assist.
The geezer crew would not have been out there if not for lets run. We put the squeeze on RY and the list to act.

You have to admit, LRC getting wind of this was the impetus for action.
Plus, we provided the geezers with the funds to spend a week out there. It's like we hired them to do our work for us.
Googled Rob Young and found this thread. Just met this guy in my restuarant. He pounded several plates of sausage, drank 10 cups of coffee, and started doing 6 minute miles around the restaurant while screaming about the children. Managed to snap a pic.
Robert Young is not fazed by his recent failure to break the world record for fastest trans-American run.
According to Young, he aims to swim, run and cycle across the Atlantic Ocean, aided by a support crew manning a 'floating RV'.
In fact, the Marathon Man is already busy training for his next challenge:

The only boot you actually got on the ground (besides Asher, which counts for lots) was a dude who spied in a wal mart parking lot for two whole hours before getting bored and pedaling home.
The geezers were mobilizing before this group knew what was what.
Plus the 24-36 hour posts by rojo. Which, yeah.
Really nice guy.

Butt hurt much?
Funny how the geezers suddenly decided to get off their azzes once rojo mentioned he may go out there or he may send a Strava rep.
Suddenly, the geezers got real interested. Lol

ROJO FOR PRESIDENT
Good news everyone: Rob is feeling better already, and will start running early in the morning! Expect great things.
He said that he'll aim for 40 miles before lunch at Burger King, and 40 - 50 thereafter - on pure hate. If that works without any interference, he'll pull it through. You got this, Rob!
I just died. Just died.
It took the ultralist group to actually put boots on the ground and closely watch Rob. If it wasn't for Laz, Rob would still be catching RV rides late at night. I'm afraid, since Laz left, that Rob will go back to cheating again. He may "miraculously" string together several 65-70 mile days and nobody from Letsrun will see it firsthand. We need LRC people in Ohio to follow-thru on their claims to follow Rob on the road.

The depressed basement recluse LRCer also appears to be delusional.

thats messed up wrote:This thread has been an education. Had no idea you could buy twitter followers or Facebook likes. Dude is a scammer and knows exactly how to inflate his image and his claims.
Yeah happens all the time. I used to do a bit of DJing, and there were a few local DJs in London whose Facebook pages had tens of thousands of likes. But when they posted anything, it would get zero interaction. Obvious fakes. Just google buy facebook likes, there are hundreds of sites offering it. Mostly based in India etc.
I'm a bit behind (friggin hard to keep up) so apologies if this has been mentioned, but many sporting people, media personalities, etc get sponsor bonuses for number of site visits, likes, etc for their various FB, Twitter, blog, etc.
Just another scam of Rob's, Markus or someone need to let Skins and his other sponsors now. I'm not in to FB etc but perhaps someone can post those stats to his FB/Twitter/blog so the disciples can see the scam, probably won't stay there long though. Perhaps Kev or Andy Persson can as their mate to explain via the hot line.
