I\'ve had pain in my stomach, sides, and groin area for the past 8 months. The more exact areas is right above the hips and in between, in my intestine (?) region. Also, there is pain higher, directly under where the rib cage ends. This pain is on both sides, mostly the right side. The largest pain, mostly prevelent when I run, is three inches below my bellie button, dead center.
There is no bulging, but here are the results from the three different doctors that I have gone too. I\'ve gone to three different ones and here is what they\'ve come up with.
After my first visit, they found no bulges (no hernia\'s), but they took blood tests, urine, and I had to submit test from my poo (sorry for lack of better word). My blood test results said I had mono, upstein barr virus. I was running close to 90 miles a week when I first started feeling this pain. I reduced that to 60\'s, then 40\'s, then 20\'s, down to zero over the course of 6 weeks.
Three months after my first visit the virus was still there, as shown by new blood tests. I then had ultrasound and a cat-scan done. These both showed swollen lymph nodes and a swollen spleen. Which I found was a result of the upstein barr virus.
The pain is still there 8 months later. My energy levels are not that bad. It is depressing knowing I am ready to run the higher mileage again, but I can\'t even get out there for 30/miles a week without the pain in my stomach/ab region.
I\'ve now been without running for three weeks. When I walk to work, the pain is there. When I try to run 10 minutes, the pain is there. I don\'t know what to do any more.
Sorry for the long explanation, but I have no idea what to do???? Where should I go from here? What should I tell my doctor? I eat ridiculously healthy anymore. Tons of fiber, very little sugar, no junk food. I\'m doing everything I can but it doesn\'t seem like its working?
Any suggestions would help as to where to go from here. Please help, anyone. Thanks in advance.
