Sporting events are not copyrightable, so all you have to do is spend a few hundred bucks on a WiFi camcorder and stream the event yourself. Problem solved!
This is going to happen within a year or two, all it really takes is for track fans to catch on and realize they have every right to do it. All the meet promoters and networks can do is try to ban cameras from the stands - not gonna happen.
