They only did retests on those likely to compete this year. Is Galkina competing? I thought she hadn't in years.
they are only retesting on those still competing after 8 years. 30 athletes found out sounds bad but still better than 300

Who cares. It's kinda well known the US has more dopers in professional sports than any other country. Spanning from baseball, football, and basketball, to boxing, wrestling, and track.
This is a track and field forum. If you don't care, perhaps you're in the wrong place.

She's hot as hell tho
Really?
This is hot? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but not for me.

Looking at her scares me. I can't quite put my finger on it but something about her is disturbing. Must be the doping.
You saw one too many Bond films.

Volkova's steeple progression....She was born in 1978. Massive PRs came at 29-30 years old.

High jumping is more a skill event so how much do drugs help? We've seen very high jumpers drop the bar because of poor technique.
I say her sentence should be reduced by half because this is a skill event and drugs don't play as big of a role. Then her sentence should then be reduced by 1/4 because she's hot. Seriously, think of the future of our sport. More eyeballs watching hot women.

Not proof at all. Americans can afford more expensive drugs, can do their own tests to make sure they're under the 'mark', and can afford expensive lawyers to keep the testers from releasing positive results.
There is no American athlete who can afford the resources of a state sponsored program to assist with doping. - Please think before you post!

Isn't the dogma that a free market beats state intervention every time?

Also russian 4x100m women relay is mentioned but not yet confirmed
(they won gold medal in 2008 with Yevgenia Polyakova, Aleksandra Fedoriva, Yuliya Gushchina and Yuliya Chermoshanskaya)
Let me offer props to our likely new 2008 women's 4x100 champs: Belgium. And yes, Olivia Borlee gets to one-up her brothers once again.
So 17 "dopers still competing" are not Russian...this is going to be interesting!

So how come women don't jump as high as men.
