Kenya, Botswana, Nigeria, Namibia..who cares? It's all the same. They all come from the country of Africa, and they're all age cheats!

1:47.548 vs 1:47.550
Maybe, just maybe he made a Freshman error and just eased up too much on the line and got pipped.
I'd wait to the final has been run before writing him off. I day he runs a PR in the final (1:45.7)

Good afternoon, Mr Rojo - I agree with you on all but point 1. You seem to have an opinion you hold to be fact, no?
look up the kenyan 800m world championship team members. there's usually (2) 20 year olds with PBs in the 1:44-45 range each cycle.
Nijel Amos was 18 at the olympics. he ran 1:41
I remember Timothy Kitum winning a bronze medal in the fastest 800m Olympic final of all time too. He was 18 years old. 1:42
Abubaker Kaki ran 1:42 when he was 18.
That's just 2 minutes of research...want me to keep going? And those are 1:42 guys, I can find a big stable of 1:45-46 guys for you
and don't give me BS about age cheats. You can't prove they are age cheats any more than you can prove Paula Radcliffe didn't use PEDs. FACT

I'd like to see your list of these hordes of African runners his age. Last year there were a total of 9 African runners between 1:45 and 1:46 (Kenya, Morocco, Ghana, and South Africa). All 20+ years old.
Forget 2 minutes. I'll give you two years to compile the dime a dozen 18 year olds...
I didn't read all of the comments in the thread, but:
1. He's a true freshman who ran 1:45.9 by himself indoors.
2. He qualified off of time , but ran the 4th (basically tied for third) fastest qualifying time out of the 19 man prelim. He was .17 off of the winner of his heat.
3. The conference he did this in is arguably the best overall 800 meter conference in the nation (if not objectively).
4. Based on all of this it's absurd to argue that he's anywhere near done. He ran a damn qualifying heat.

They are age "cheats". You can say whatever you want, but they most definitely are. I don't consider it cheating myself, but if you wonder why Lawi Lalang hasn't been getting faster as expected (among other dominant foreigners who have run in the NCAA), age is your answer. Kudos to Lawi though, regardless of his age, homie is a beast, as are the majority of the runners I'm referring to.

Kaki, Kitum, Amos and Amman are all 3-5 years older than their listed ages (Amo has aditteed he is 26). Just look at the trajectory of their development (or lack thereof). Kipchoge is the only guy who I am sure was 18 when he roared on the scene, and that is only in retrospect due to his current dominance 13 years later. Same with Lagat, who didn't pop out until legit age 22.
Brazier more likely did too much speed work indoors and now is marginally flat. Could also be he peaked for indoors and now is peaking for the Olympic trials in July.
Anyone who takes the stated age of most E. Africans as correct is a cuck of the most gullible kind. Brother Colm (who's trained Rudisha among others) has made remarks about this many times, including remarks about Ngeny back in the day likely being at least at the age limit for juniors several years before graduating from HS. He said most Kenyans are likely 3 - 6 years older than what the federation claims they are. Not all, but most.
What is a cuck?

Yeah David Rudisha is an age cheat too, even though he's an adult.
If he wasn't an age cheat, then some old white fat guy American would be faster.
What is a cuck?

Were Jonathan Johnson and Michael Granville also age cheats? Sometimes people don't improve. Training, burnout, injury. Take your pick.
Jonathan Johnson....now that is a name I haven't heard in quite some time. Miss that head lean.

Don't know about the others guys but its a well known fact from people who have trained with Kaki that he is far older than what his age says.
1:46.19 in 3rd place
First of all, Lagat was not an age-cheat candidate because he was not a well-known junior competitor--he came on the scene relatively late.
Second, Lagat never ran 1:44-45.
Third, Kenyan age cheating has been well-documented. Many of their world junior results have been placed into question by evidence of age cheating.
There was no clear uniform birth certificate process in Kenya.
Actual evidence please :)
Someone should start a thread about Shaquille Walker. Brazier is done.
Brazier is well past his peak. He did a ton of speed work before that ridiculous 145.9 indoor race he had. Major talent. He'll be back.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
