I'm a sophomore in highschool and we're in the middle of track. So far I've gone 4:28 in the mile and 9:39 in the 2 mile. Is there any possibility of collegiate racing in the future(XC or track)?

Yes.
yes, but you already knew that.
Depends on the next two years. Upside, and all.
Even if you never improve you will have D3 and maybe even D2 scholarship offers.
If you bring your time down to the 4:10s and lower 9:20s almost a shoe-in at D1 programs (although not the top ones) and you may not get much money if any.
I had a teammate run 4:21 as a sophomore in high school. He kept running all the way through junior year of college, even trying out for the team all three years of college.
Due to repeated injuries, that 4:21 as a sophomore remains his pr. He did make the team his junior year of college, but only ran one or two really bad races, due to the continued injuries.
It wasn't even just one type of injury over and over, it was always something new.
I hope the same happens to you for starting such a smug post.
But don't worry, you can still have success in other areas of life.
Why so angry at OP? He's got the proper attitude for running at the D1 level.
Let's be honest - most D1 guys were super elitist pricks with massive egos. He'd fit right in.
Wasn't meaning to offend you, sorry.
