I've only watched a couple episodes including the one last night. Show is way overrated. Acting is cheesy. Plot line is cheesy. The nudity and violence is pointless. What is the Millennial obsession with following TV dramas?
Massively overstated review.
Understated points of criticism.
"Cheesy" just doesnt cover the acting, production values, or even plot. I watched three seasons with some appreciation of the acting and production values (which seemed to me to be very effective and artistic, if not close to history. Most of the acting did flow stereotypical characters saying predictable stuff (with the refreshing exception of Peter Dincklage who was ...massively effective as the clever dwarf.
The plot it was that did for me in the end. The combined with some very stilted dialog and story developments--defying credulity, not because of dragons and weird characters and magic, but because of cliche events and speeches.
It was story line and contrived actions and cliched dialog that put me off.
