I look forward to seeing how Bekele races in London. Are there any recent updates on his fitness level? Does anyone think he can contend for a podium spot?

Saw him on the track the other day. He looks cut. Very good leg speed velocity, too. Didn't count but those must have been like 30 reps or so.
Expect great things.
When you DNS it is hard to finish in the top 3.
I saw him doing a tempo run out in the forest, his leg extension was truly remarkable. His shoulders were nice and relaxed. I'm expecting big things from him in London.
Saw him jog into a monastery on top of a mountain last twilight. Excellent eye openness. Roughly 33°. Expect great things.
I'm assuming he will not complete the London Marathon, but I will admit it would be pretty exciting for him to just show up in great shape and win.
I saw him running tons of fast 200s on the track. He told me it was marathon pace.
I saw him painting a sunset last week. His strokes were incredible. Long and smooth. Expect big things in London.
I saw him carrying a bag of syringes. Expect great things.
I saw him this morning working on his start. He's using blocks. He said the toe drag and drive phase will be key to breaking the Kenyans early. Expect great things.
I saw him practicing victory laps with a laurel wreath and an Ethiopian flag. Expect great things.
I saw him doing reverse windsprints at a truly breath-taking pace to strengthen his quads. Expect great things.
I saw him running on a railway track. He used the express train to Addis Ababa as his lead vehicle. Expect great things.
I saw him in Harrods looking poised 1m behind Eliud Kipchoge, who was asking an assistant where the shoe goo was.
I saw him practising the Kenbot at the end of a workout. Expect great things.
I saw him running in and out of a flock of Ethiopian lions. He was working on his kick.
Expect great things.
I saw him pacing Lance Armstrong on a bike track in Europe. Expect great things in London.
I saw him at the library reading Dickens A Tale of Two Cities. Great expectations next.
I can confirm I saw him doing a lactic threshold with 5 emus pacing him, all dropped after 27 miles, and he still looked smooth, expect great things in London
I saw him getting sized up for a new red cape. Dude's gonna fly.
