Even if that is true, if you look up the word adultery in the dictionary, Kobe's name is next to it.

ESPN knocked this game over to ESPN-2 because the warriors were playing for win 73.
If you love basketball, that was the game you would be watching.
Odds had Golden State winning like 98% of the time. Memphis never stood a chance (down by like 15 after the first quarter???). If you really wanted to see the Warriors break the record, you should have watched them beat the Spurs. That was THE game.
Either game would have been head and shoulders above Kobe's shoot fest. He attempted 21 3 point shots, his teammates attempted 4.
What's worse is now there's precedence. Every retiring fool is going to want to try and top this on their way out. Maybe not by jacking up 50 shots, but trying to make their last game something special.
Kobe's ego wouldn't even allow him to "pass the baton." Had to be all-Kobe all the way. I hope Randle has a crazy break-out year next season and LA fans see how much Kobe stunted the team's success with his greed act these last few seasons.
Playing the rape card just screams "I'm jealous and insecure." I'm sure you would love to be harassed about something you allegedly did like 15 years ago eh buddy. Grow up. Sure he takes a lot of shots, but he should because he's a playmaker. I was going to switch to warriors game but I'm glad I watched the end of that, an all time performance by Kobe!

Actually, I did think it reflective of Kobe's career that on his last game of this team sport it was ALL about Kobe playing an individual game for individual glory on one of the most losing teams in the NBA.
Maybe on one level is was a grand last game but it still was all about Kobe being all about Kobe.

Kobe shot 44% from the field which is 10% better than his season average. Also Utah was playing for a playoff spot, if they won and Houston lost, they would be the 8th seed.
Houston had already won. They knew the game was meaningless. Of course everybody already knew houston would win to make the playoffs since that other low life ballhog gunner is featured on all the NBA promo ads.
mamba out
50 shots taken. No defense played against the Brick Mamba.

How many moving screens weren't called? The NBA is on par with the WWE.

I missed it and I'm not ashamed. I'm a huge NBA fan but this was just an exhibition game. I watched the Celtics game. Tried to watch the Warriors record-setting game but fell asleep (I'm an east-coast morning person). I did watch most of the Warriors games this year.

He is quite the team player to have the charisma to get the ball fed to him like that!

Game was a joke, a faux Kobe showcase for all the ass-kissing Hollywood types.,,, "feed me the ball and opponent don't play D" orders that came down from the Commissioners office.
How many chicks did he bust a move on in his "illustrious" career of rear-ending, Bill Cosby style?
Dude is waaay overrated. Oscar Robertson and Larry Bird puts 'em all to shame, but no they dont' know what shame is.
On par as most of the posts from letsrun...because 98% of runners lack talent, they get jealous of what the real athletic sports do. So go back to being invisible once again and dream of having people actually watcheck and care about a sport that has been dead since it started. Now go away...and go for a run and see if anyone notices....lmao
Fitting end to a top 3 player of all time.
44%, 22-50.
Utah, by losing, was knocked out of the playoffs. If you look at the highlight of all of his points, you'll see that every one is highly contested by one or multiple Jazz players. This was not a gift, except from his teammates feeding him. He came up big at the end as well to get the win. He was on his last legs the past few seasons but the great winners can still do it in a one off situation, as he did. All of you knocking him, recognize that while he was shooting way too low a percentage the past few years--injured and old, he was a great basketball player at both ends, essential to his team's five championships, while you are scrubs who never even played college basketball. Maybe like that chump in Philly, you think you know more about the game that you cannot play.
What a poor defence of a rapist: "read Kobe's transcripts". Yes I'm sure the accused is going to say "I knowingly raped her, please put me in jail."1 - He settled and publicly apologized 2 - He had her blood on his shirt3 - The hotel sold off the room furniture shortly after so they couldn't reinvestigate 4 - Despite what you think - if you are having consensual sex, and the girl tells you to stop, and you just keep going, that has now turned to rape. But thanks for defending him.
if all his shots were uncontested layups, sure, you could say it wasn't a great performance. But he had a lot of tough, contested shots, especially for someone with no legs any more...

Houston had already won before the Laker Game started.

LOL, everyone knows that was consensual and she'd have gotten laughed out of court. She was bragging about it afterwards, until she realized she'd look like a slut. And I'm not a fan of Kobe by any means.
By the way, at least use a sockpuppet next time instead of just repeating the same thing every few posts. We're on Letsrun, it's not exactly hard.
It definitely had a "Globetrotters vs The Generals" feel to it. That said it was a an entertaining game.
There is no doubt that the players were in on it, whether consciously or subconsciously but, sort of surprisingly, so were the refs. Did anyone notice Kobe's push off with under a minute to play? The refs call that and no win, no 60 points and we're all left with the feeling that we just wasted our time.
But they didn't and all was right with the World - at the expense of the Game itself.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
