It looks warm in R'dam today? Anyone knows?
It looks warm in R'dam today? Anyone knows?
Rotterdam marthon website says maximum of 15 C today, light winds. Weather should be pretty much ideal.
Robert Chemosin won in Vienna in 2:09:45.
62% humidity,10 degrees Celsius and the wind is at 1.9 kph. There are 3 pacemakers and 8 contenders, including Kebede
1:14:02 at 25km which is on course record pace; almost exactly.
to me it seems that some of the kilometer markers are off.
but slowing down a bit...
This race is getting interesting. Abshero and Lani already dropped off the pace and Kebede still shouldering on. With that, I think Matthew Kisorio and the dark horse Geoffrey Kirui who is debuting will finish in the top three, and either of the two could actually win.
Shuko Genemo won women's race in Vienna in 2:24:27.
30km at 1:29:00. 9 seconds off course record and Kebede has been dropped.
5 runners still in
Go Pacer 62!
1:44.17 at 35km
oop I guess he quit
Anyone else think the pacemaker could've stuck in and won the race? He kept dropping the pack and looked well within himself.
Last three 5K segments have been 14:59, 14:58, 15:17 ... looks to me like they are on for about a 2:06 clocking. Maybe just under at best.
Down to 3 runnners ... pacer finally drops after 35K, haha
He was gonna WIN! Maybe it was against his contract.
Kirui drilling it now... Biwott's friend Kipserem to smash his 2:09 PR
uh oh, the Ethiopian who has drafted the who way and not led one step is gonna win I think
he knows he's fresher now but he still won't lead. Kenyan should slow down and let the other Kenyan catch up
1:59.37 at 40km. 2:06.xx projected winning time.
Man, who the heck are these guys? haha
I'm seeing Kipserem with 2:09:21 and 1:02:17 PRs. Quite a few marathons already it seems, going back to 2012.
Then Deksisa ran a 2:17 in Lagos, Nigeria only 2 months ago! But also a 60:12 according to K Ken Nakamura's twitter (although I'm not seeing that on his IAAF page).
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
