I totally agree, and she's cute!
It is really difficult to take this sport seriously.
If you know so much, state specific evidence.
And try not to just say "learn how to reason". Show me how to reason if you know so much. Don't reply to insult those doubting you, we are just trying to be skeptical of things at face value, which is presumably something you also value given your "evidence" of so much doping.
Also, why don't jumpers dope? Less competitive? Doping would surely help an explosive power event like jumping, or is the argument that the technique required means that doping isn't as big of a help?
I am genuinely just trying to understand here, because you are saying a lot of stuff with no proof.
On this list she is #1 non-tainted. Jamal just wasn't caught yet.But you made a good point, very sad to see how this has compromised our sport so much.

Totally agree with you, the athletics was on TV the other day and I turned it off after 30 minutes. Finally lost my enthusiasm after years of competing and being a fan. Don't know what to believe anymore.
I will watch athletics again, but I'm much more wary of some athletes "performances".
Although some runners like Jenny Simpson still inspire me. I think it's great that Alexi Pappas could run for Greece in the Olympics, and she's got a great imagination!
Aregawi seems like a troubled woman in general. Sad.
Abeba aregawi tested positive for doping. Good recruitment by sweden
Aregawi has recent tax problems in Sweden and says she prefers not to live there and suddenly she tests positive. What a coincidence! (Not saying she is clean - am saying it looks a lot like a federation punishing an athlete.)
Wouldn't it be interesting if lots of the top T&F athletes have already tested positive and the federations are sitting on the results to use against the athletes when "necessary."
Jenny Speaks
and she wants her medal
Jenny Simpson â€@trackjenny 16m16 minutes ago
No such thing as part-time clean, part-time cheat. #lifetimeclean or #lifetimeban
Sorry for the double reply.
It's interesting that Sweden started throwing her under the bus just before the drug news came out... Probably orchestrated.
Reminded me during the whole Ben Johnson thing when a Toronto radio commentator observed how Canadian he was when he won the medal and how Jamaican he was when he had to give it back.
I was in Toronto with a room full of Canadian's when he won it and there isn't a truer statement...
they really should go back and delete you from every result if you test positive. You want to come back in four years and try again, ok fine. but everything you ever did gets erased.

Those "tax problems" amount to $1300.

I'm to the point where I pick half a dozen runners I believe in and leave it at that. I don't care about anyone else.
I fast forward through the sprints and throws.
I won't buy a ticket to a pro meet anymore - too disgusted
And then when a couple of american distance runners test positive, I'll probably stop even watching meets on TV.
I always thought Abeba was good because she was Androgenic and that her recent poor form was because she was being forced by IAAF to take hormone therapy.

This is now beyond depressing... And difficult not to doubt everyone... Including the "non tainted."
At least the failure was made public in a relatively short amount of time.
Agree with all the above and I'm a lifetime follower and participant of T&F. I had the opportunity to go to six of the last World Champs but just didn't have confidence that what I would be seeing wouldn't be drug tainted. Glad now I didn't spend the dollars.
Jamal was a dirty runner and filthy racer. Just ask Helen Obiri and Morgan Uceny.Neither she nor Bulut got popped but it was so obvious.
