Who do you say it is? I think Rupp for sure, maybe Eggleston. Anyone with a large number of DNF's in the past?

Ritz: Most likely to need medical attention after in the sun and running 2:16.
Doubt that Ritz would DNF, but will fade hard and flop. Retirement within one year of not making the team.
Alana Hadley
Since I doubt any of the athletes competing will be reading this on the evening before their race my predictions for disasters are as follows
Diego Estrada will have a nightmare. So too will Sam Chelanga, Johnny Grey, Tim Ritchie, Tyler Andrews, Ben Bruce, Brett Gotcher, Brandon Gregg, Biwott, Danny Mercado and a whole host of guys who qualified via the half marathon standard
Max King will take quite a few scalps in that heat,
Ding Ding Ding ! Winner. Although technically she is not in the Trials. Rupp would be the second choice - if he is not in contention he'll drop for obvious reasons.

Tyler Andrews ran 2:16 to qualify, he didn't qualify with a half.
Cabada
I never said he qualified via the half marathon route. I stated he will have a nightmare along with some others who qualified via the half marathon route. He has run around 10 marathons in his career to date as well as running 22 miles at 2.13 pace two weeks ago. He has overcooked the training. Cabadass will run well

Andrew Huebner:
"At the time I still hadn’t been able to run more than a few minutes here and there, and the idea of declaring for a marathon seemed ridiculous and impossible. (Well, that’s because it is both those things!) I knew I wouldn’t be able to complete the race, but I decided (with some help and encouragement from friends) that being on the starting line is something that I’ve earned; it’s important even if I have zero intention or ability to actually cross the finish line."

I'm sure there are others in a similar position.

Wrong. 30k on January 23rd. Less mileage and three weeks ago...The kid posts very detailed training, and you manage to get it wrong, or simply lie about it...
I second Cabada.
I hope you do not work in academia because your research skills are severely lacking. January 30th which is 14 days ago a 35 km long run was completed on a treadmill in 1 hour 53 minutes and 29 seconds with the last half marathon in 66 minutes. I apologize the actual average pace is 2.15-2.16. Either way its is complete overkill two weeks out from a marathon.
I third Cabada. Running two marathons in one month will do that to you.

Okay you're wording was confusing. I can agree with that though. his training is always much more impressive than his racing
I think Max King can handle the heat. He ran the 100k in Qatar.
That Alana Hadley girl.
Kara Goucher?
Perhaps Steve Jones marathon mentality is not best suited today for Tyler Mc
