Are they saying Coe knew of the blackmail and extortion?

Rojo, they just announced they would field questions from the Call you are on, and there was silence, so they are deferring questions from the "Call" until later.
Pound is saying that Coe is the best man to run IAAF. Can't imagine him accusing Coe of anything unless Pound is being cagey and deferring to any possible Interpol investigation.
So maybe what Pound is essentially doing is "punting".

. Russia is the political enemy and sport is a useful tool for adding to the dirt thrown.
LR.com should have enough common sense to cop this.
I await to see if Kenya and Jamaica will also be banned for not having any testing whatsoever , however unlikely this will be...
Exactly
Frankly, the only thing that would impress me was it the top Jamican(s) were busted. So Russia was corrupt - at least they had testing!
To say Coe knew nothing about this is also BS
There were technical difficulties. We wren't ready to ask a questoin. We know have asked to ask a question. Gault wants to ask this.

ok Pound is saying he doesn't think Coe is lying when Coe says he didn't know what was going on.
Ok, Jonathan asked this questoin.
TJonathan Gault wants to ask:
Mr. Pound, in an August 2015 interview with Victor Conte in the Japan Times, he claims that he gave you advice on how to catch athletes cheating by doing carbon isotope ratio tests from their old frozen samples. He wanted you to go back and test the big names like Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Carmelita Jeter, etc" from earlier in the 2000s. He says you brought this suggestion to WADA and they rejected your proposal saying, "Are you kidding me? You think we want to destroy the entire Olympic movement?"
So, did this actually happen and if so, how can we have faith that those at top want to bring down cheats even at the expense of the "Olympic movement."
[/quote]
Pound said that's not something WADA would say to him. They would let the chips fall where they should. So basically he denied the validity of Conte's claim.
There you go, Jonathan. Notice how he first claimed he didn't hear your question.
You should ask him about the Steve Mullins situation, where WADA refused to perform DNA testing on samples Steve claimed were not his.
Looks like they are only taking one more question. They could easily take a few more questions.
Complete whitewash.
Pound phone ringing: "excuse me it must be Russia"
I love that Pound doesn't try to hide his canadian accent.
Ashenden and Parisotto get a bit of a roasting in the official document (now available from the links I posted earlier).
". The IC was provided with no explanation for the differences in approach and
cautions expressed by the same scientists in previously written scholarly
publications on the subject matter and the opinions expressed in the work
commissioned by The Sunday Times. The differences are quite significant."
"Although it may be hard to blame
Drs. Ashenden and Parisotto, since they did not have such information in
hand, to draw definite conclusions on the basis of incomplete data is a serious
issue and they should have taken more precautions in that regard. It is not
for the IC to attempt to reconcile the scientists’ various and changing
positions on such matters."
Sunday Times report is fairly well taken apart in terms of its sensationalist approach. Not sure how helpful that is though in the grand scheme of things.
They just tried to field another question from the "Call" and no one on the Call spoke.
If Paula Radcliffe is anything near being as vindictively litigious as your average American, then she's on the verge of an obscene windfall from lawsuits and must be rubbing her hands with glee at the prospect. Lawyers on deck, as we speak.
"It is not for the IC to attempt to reconcile the scientists’ various and changing positions on such matters."
There are scientist who's purpose is to only exist refute the claims made by other scientists. There will never be 100% agreement; that goes against human nature.
Paula Radcliffe can suck my balls, except I wouldn't want her dirty mouth on them. She isn't going to get a nickel from any lawsuit. The ARD data is solid enough to cast doubt on her performances, the media will be protected by the ARD data despite what Dick Pound and WADA claim.
The questioner from the German press has been repeatedly been asking about countries other than Russia, specifically Kenya. Pound has only danced around the question.
ARD should now publish all the data, with the athlete's names.

Victor Conte may have lied?!?! I have a hard time believing that!
