i woudn't bother wondering too much of the origin of the universe :
basic logic tells us if you have infinite space &/or infinite time, then eventually in these infinities, something will happen, in this case : a +ve particle with a concomitant -ve one
virtually always these will cancel each other out, but just once in those infinite particle-pairs, the distance will be too far for attraction-cancellation & the particles will drift apart, producing an existent +ve & -ve one
that is all that is needed as that 1 "particle" can explode/inflate to produce a +ve universe with the -ve one producing a balancing -ve one, so net of nothingness is still 0
no limit to energy of a "particle" or what can happen to it when seriously existant
this of course can happen infinite times as we have infinite space & time, but the net summation of all the +ve & -ve is of course
0
so, still the overall sum of all infinite universes is 0, but you can still have infinite numbers of +ve / -ve universes making that 0
i stil think the best question is what was upper limit of Ryun's 800 on a '70s track with brutal pacing to bell in this shape when imo he probably was in ~ 44.5/44.75 shape for '70s track :

Don't tell me 'big bang.' There is no way that one day there was nothing, then the next instant 'poof,' we have a universe. That's the most intellectually lazy, illogical proof I've ever heard.
It's one reason that I believe in a higher power.
I also believe in God but there is much irony in your post.
Why so many people are unable to understand the concept of "one."

I find it very amusing that full grown adults are willing to apply to logic to the universe, but fail to see the inconsistency in not applying it to a god. I probably just got trolled.

What is the true missing link in human evolution?
Is there life after death? Some of us, myself included believe that there is. However for those who don't believe in life after death, my retort has always been, wait until the day you take your last breath, then and only then will you know if you were right and the rest of us who believe in God/Heaven/Salvation After Death, were wrong.
As to the missing link, I don't think it'll ever be found. I do however believe that there have existed on this planet other groups of peoples who's remains could be confused with homo sapiens. The Darwinist/Evolutionist people are always trying to connect the dots with bits of fossilized bones that they find and try connecting them to our linage. Are they right or are they wrong? I believe we'll only find the answer to this question once our life has expired,

Not really. There is either a First Cause or an infinite regress of causes. Occam's razor suggests the former. So then the question is about the nature of the First Cause. Before the Big Bang both religious and non-religious people believed the First Cause had to be eternal. So atheists believed the universe was the eternal First Cause.

Nile, longest river in the world, c.4,160 mi (6,695 km). Over the last 1200 miles the the Nile flows into the Mediterranean Sea, it drops a total of 2 FEET! How can this be when the math says it must ascend and/or descend (depending on its relation to the Equator) by some 12 miles, yet it only drops 2 Feet????

I don't believe there is an easy layman's explanation of the Riemann hypothesis.

-The origins of life on earth
This.
Not origins of the cosmos or the origins of species.
Origins of conscious, self-replicating life.
So mysterious to me.
Animate life is so inherently different from sterile, inanimate material such as rock, minerals, or water. Think of a sterile environment such as the moon or mars and also consider how fragile life is. We take life for granted on earth because it is so widespread and diverse. But on a planet or orb without life (as evidently earth must have been at some point), how did life start?
Some scientists (even Richard Dawkins considers this) think life came to earth from a comet or something, but that just defers the question to another place in the cosmos.
And even animal life is so different than plant life due to consciousness.
Sure, I know about theories involving primordial soup, lightning, ocean vents, amino acids, etc., but conscious life seems so inherently different from chemical compounds and reactions.
