Front 4 are all together very composed (Becky Wade, Deena Kastor, with Molly Huddle and Annie Bersagel) 2 x 2.
Desi can't be seen at all. We won't have a split until 20 miles.

Credit to the commentators on the TV broadcast - they're making a bunch of tempo runs look like an actual race and keeping viewers well informed. Not a knock at all either - they're doing a good job.
I'm more curious about Puskedra's teammate, Bergasel ? (I butchered both of their names...sorry) - but Stanford law grad, training and working in Europe, 2:28 marathon in which the commentators said she injured her knee 10K into that marathon, sounds like she tore her meniscus....
Anyway, I can't wait to see how she does at the trials in 2 months.
TV broadcast is pretty good. Men looked be running harder than the women. The women are definitely 2 x 2. In men's relay, Ward got dropped battled back, then at end Meb and Abdi got dropped.
And the whole time it wasn't 2 x2.
Greatest tempo run in American history?

No.
1:45:06 at 20 miles for first 4 women
1:46:16 or Desi
The women are running much easier than the men. They must have their GPS right at 6 minute pace.
5:59.91 per mile is what I calculated the pace for the leaders from 13.1 to 20 miles.
Front 2 women are racing now. Deen and Becky Wade are clear of everyone else. 22nd mile.
Ummmm, ever heard of Jason Rexing?

I have not been able to confirm if Rexing was on the starting line or not.
Deena pulling away from Becky 2 hours into the race.

Male overall winner and Overall relay winner anchor both jewish!
I belive it was Ryan HILL of Bowerman TC.. not HALL.

They are off. On the starting line were Meb, Ryan Hall, Abdi, Jared Ward, Sam Chelanga (half marathon relay) plus Leo Manzano, Matt Centrowitz, Robby Andrews (5 mile relay) and you'll have Molly Huddle and Deena running the 2nd half.
I think this is the greatest collection of American talent on the same starting line this year even if they are all in different races.
Ryan HILL!!! not HALL!!!!
Dude Hall's in the far left of the vid...
So, can anyone give some insight on what Desi was doing out there this morning? I know Molly just ended her season and is coming off of a break, but I was really surprised to see how slow the women ran out there this morning.
so is centro, manzano and robbie andrews. what distance did these guys run/race?

Was there a regular marathon going on?
Yeah but the winner was some local who ran a 2:2? it was a big Pr for him a think the announcers said he ran a 2:30 at boston last year.

They have the same manager.
The front page write up on this race is the worst ever. No info on individual distances the men and women relay runners ran. Very confusing. Who is Boris?
