Gonzalez going for it 2 laps to go
About 28:40 pace maybe a bit faster

Gonna be Gonzalez FTW 28:31
Olsen a couple strides back
How is this a pursuit? Aren't those where a competitor gets a head start based on results from a previous event?
Did Olson just set a world record for fastest 10,000 while wearing an oversized t-shirt? I thought he was a rabbit, but then he just hung on all the way.
Malmo, what is the record for fastest 10,000 in an oversized t-shirt?

Hasay crushed by Hall? That is kind of sad.
I am sure you know Hasay is coming off of an injury.
28:45 pace too hot for Blankenship
What is the Olympic 10k standard?
Maybe it was called a pursuit because in a couple of months it all will be considered a bit Trivial.
28:00

First real injury in her career, had to start from zero in her build up and zero racing in how many months? I like Jordan's 1st race back at this time of year.
Its sets her up for maybe a little indoor and getting ready for the spring.
haha oops messed up some names, somebody in the crowd told me it was gonzalez.
blankenship made it 8k right at 23:00, but the weird thing was that a lap before that he took the lead for 100m or so before quigley took it back.
props to quigley for trying to push the pace, he led a whole lotta laps before olsen took over in the last mile or so
Thanks for posting updates
Thanks for the play by plays.
no problem, somebody had to do it
and LOL i was harassing blankenship during the race, especially when he dropped, and then i saw him when i was walking back to my car. i b*tched out and just said 'good job ben' or something, i wonder if he recognized me. probably hates me
Why did he drop? 8k into the race, c'mon!
Why did Molly Seidel decide not to run? I believe that she would of won.
Jordan did not look good. Never part of lead pack. Looked tight, not fluid. Stride was uneven - right leg back kick quite a bit lower than left leg. Visible limp/hitch in her stride during cool down. Maybe she raced too soon after injury?
Strong contrast with Kim Conley, who looked awesome and aggressive entire race. Kim had to do all the work by herself - essentially a solo run - after about 4.5K(ish) once rabbits dropped out.
Chelsea Reilly had good, steady race - moved up slowly to take over 2nd, and was closing a bit on Kim at end (not a threat to Kim, but seemed to be closing the gap a bit).
Emma Bates was in lead group early, but faded hard. Nice aggressive start, but seemed like tactics didn't match fitness.
Erik Olson deserves at least a small sponsorship.
