I guess Syracuse didn't need MJ Erb.

Great job by Syracuse coaches in learning how to peak a scrappy bunch.
Wetmore blew it with Saarel, look for him to transfer.
Cheserek was amazing.
Cuse out Coloradoed Colorado in the last 2km.
All hail the Orange.
Pump the brakes their kitten. If the syracuse coaches are so great why is this their first podium finish. The Orange will be back to average after knight and th others go home.
Texas with a marvelous pair of team finishes. Top 31 in the nation!
Hook 'em.

If the Rosa's run together, Stanford wins today.
Yup. What happened? Was he sick? Hurt earlier in the year?
Also, Fisher in 17th overall! I don't know if I'm surprised or not, but, 10k is apparently not too far for him.
Cheserek is other-worldly. I remember watching McGorty win states and SE region his senior year. And I thought, 'McGorty's gonna get Ches this year'. Not only did he not, but, now, looking back, he never had a chance to.
Does anybody else think that Cheserek could, if he wanted to, break 13 this spring? He annihilated a pretty decent field and did it easily.
JUCO transfers of note:
Frankline Tonui JR Arkansas 40th, NJCAA 2013 runner up, 2014 4th place
Antibahs Kosgei JR Alabama 102nd, NJCAA 2013 5th place, 2014 runner up
Harry Mulenga JR Florida State, 153rd NJCAA 2013/2014 XC Champion
George Yator JR Louisville 211th, NJCAA 2013 10th place, 2014 5th

Dang. Cheserek put 26 seconds on Tiernan with well under 2k to go. Made his move closer to 1-1.5k out.
Tiernan visibly packed it in after Ches blew by him. I wouldn't read into his last 2k too much.

It just proves that you can buy a championship. Let the Cuse coach actually develop runners before we call him great.

Colorado State had good day 2 guys in the top 20. Not bad for a team wasn't picked to run
Is it possible colorado had 5 all american and still lost?

Yea, I thought so too, and that's born out in Tiernan's last 6:19 split. But Ches's split was still 10s faster than Murphy, and 15s+ faster than anyone else in the field.
Either way some great running by those guys up front. +/- 15s from 29:00 is pretty darn good, especially in what looked to be windy (15-20mph) conditions.

Next time, don't duplicate the error that you are whining about.
Let's be honest here, Syracuse got incredibly lucky today.
CU had two big off days (Saarel and Moussa), who were both top 10 (?) last year.
If Joe Rosa runs a below average race and finishes like top 35, Stanford would win.
Trump - Wetmore 2016
CUSE!! TCB!! I've been saying it all year
You must be kidding. Look at what Philo Germano was doing in high school before you say Chris Fox can't develop runners.
"If Joe Rosa runs a below average race and finishes like top 35, Stanford would win."
Seeing as Stanford was 69 points out of first and Joe Rosa scored 76 as their 5th, he pretty much had to be top 10 for Stanford to win.

When asked whether he would recruit foreigners, Wetmore said he would do so with any country that had a reciprocal practice with the US. I'm pretty sure some US runners attend Canadian universities on scholarships, I could be wrong though.
Also, Knight is from closer to Syracuse than half the Colorado team is to CU.
And as far as developing vs. "buying" kids for a program, I'd be curious to know the high school PRs of the scoring five runners for Syracuse and Colorado today.
