What do you think I can run in the mile (or 1600)?
Two recent workouts:
1
- Loops on concrete around a park (1 loop = 0.67 miles)
- Done in the cloudy morning at a comfortable 70 degrees
- 3-5 min rest in between each
7 x 0.67 miles (or 1.08 km) @ an average of 3:20, or 4:58 min/mile pace.
2
- Track loops (400m)
- Done in the sunny as heck afternoon with unpleasant high 80s degrees
- 1:30 - 3 min rest in between each
6 x 400m @ an average of 66.4, or 4:25 min/mile pace.
Since those are both speed, here is a hard distance workout I did back in september:
- Around the track no stops
- In the morning very cloudy and cool
8 miles @ 5:45 min/mile pace.
My PRs are:
(from last track season) 4:41 1600, 10:18 3200
(from this cross-country season) 15:38 3 mile
I think I have improved a lot since I ran the 4:41, so hopefully my mile/1600 time will drop significantly this upcoming track season?
