Oh my god, the steps! People at work will remark they're at x amount of steps for the day and I have no idea how to respond. I find it such a strange thing to measure fitness/activity by.

I was listening to the radio last year and some insipid DJ was talking about how she gets aggravated by the "serious" runners at road races warming up and shoving to the front of the start line, etc., because they need to "relax" because "it's for charity!" Why are well managed events and raising money for charity mutually exclusive?
