Live footage was pretty terrible. Commentary with Lagat was great.
But the whole "Let's show the race leader solo and ignore everyone else, and ignore the whole other race." is a T&F trope older than Carol Lewis.

Thought the footage was fine since they only had cameras for the lead packs.
Just please show the finish through the top 10!!!!
As for Lagat, not a fan.
Look lower left.

Separation, yes. But the course is net uphill, not down. Crazy thing is the wind, slight as it was, was mostly in the runner's faces
I stand corrected. Holy crap, that was a GREAT run by Huddle!
Nice run for German Fernandez, 13th 48:19. He appears to be getting fitter every race. I hope his injury bug is behind him.
I'd suggest a remeasure. I don't doubt Huddle could do it, but solo? And even more eyebrow raising are the followers. NS/AP now has a top 150ish all time performances? Kudos if accurate. What are their PRs?
This is a pretty great result for Pappas. I've always thought she was very mid-tier and didn't take her racing all that seriously what with all her other (art) projects. This place finish is very good - wonder how her old teammate Hasay would have placed?

Why wouldn't you lay out a national championship race on a course that could qualify for an AR?
2 reasons come to mind.
1. A desire for ensuring eye popping times without the checking and rechecking associated with a record.
Nobody will triple/quadruple check this because it's not apparently record eligible.
2. Just general incompetence. Wonder how Molly feels? Just ran the race of her life and... eh? Doesn't count for a record, sorry.

I think, I may be wrong, but the 10 grand she just won for being the first finisher will help ease her pain.
