Anyone have news about the write-up promised by Walsh?
The silence is deafening.

Anyone have any update about Walsh's promised follow-up?Was this whole "suspicious blood values" scandal just blowing "30% of medalists have altitude trained between 2001 and 2012" out of proportion?

Looks like he didn't get the interview
He can't print anything without it
It looks like she's got away with it for now
Yep, still silence. I can only believe (hope) that this is because some journalists, somwehere, are digging around and trying to develop the story.
Shame, but I haven't got the original story still from the Sunday Times, does anyone have the link to this (that isn't behind the paywall)? If I remember correctly there were some interesting stats in here about the 'British runner' such as how the off-score had increased 40% from the test taken just before the race until after, how they'd taken into account training at altitude etc. before making their 'less than 1 in 1000' statement etc. Would be interesting to re-read this again given the context.
Wejo, reading around a little on the altitude training question, it seems that the effect can last a while

. But of course it would be nice rather than scraping around the internet to research all this, that some information could be published (blood values, training log, medication taken, TUEs etc.).
And keep up the great work on Letsrun by the way. Cool to have someone out there pushing stories forward.
Looks like you really didn't have any update. What did Paula get away with, altitude training?

I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
