As long as someone else does the firing. Dennis is a big, scary man.
But yes, fire him finally, at least to pretend we care about a clean sport.

Re: "I blame Rogers who let Bolts presence

I disagree!
Tyson does not pass the baton with authority, kind of like a high school girl actually. Looking at the video, Tyson appeared to be reaching for the handoff as soon as entered the zone causing him to break stride, which made it look as if the outgoing runner got out too fast. Tyson has done this several times over the years. Tyson has gotten away with this when he was handing off to slow starters like Spearmon or Bailey for example, but Rogers gets out too quick to lose speed in the zone. You need Gay's speed on the relay, but Dennis should have put him on anchor. I am sure Tyson didn't do this in practice, but when some athletes are put under pressure they revert back to the tendencies.
Dennis Mitchell has not been the relay coach the last years. Do your own research before you post on threads.. Dennis was appointed relay coach last year? Jon Drunmond was the previous relay coach. USA convincingly defeated Jamaica at World relays so they are capable of getting the stick around and Dennis is capable of putting a team together. The issue is with the athletes trusting. In the heats Mike Rodgers unnecessarily turned around to see where Tyson was.. they have been scarred so many times they refuse to trust the coach and each other. Put Headband man back in first leg he is not a predator and does not have the balls to run anchor. He would make a solid first leg. Bromell is young and fearless and coachable.

Seems like a classy guy. Didn't know he once got into a brawl with a Nigerian sprinter in a hotel lobby in Zurich with 40 or 50 people watching.
http://www.nytimes.com/1994/08/20/sports/20iht-ian_1.htmlThey haven't won a major championship in 8 years Sorry world relays are not championships. Instead of hiring former sprinters to coach the relay how about getting a real coach?
The eyewitness accounts are condensed to the following version:
Adeniken turned his back to walk away, and Mitchell reportedly pushed him down. Several people jumped in to break up the fight, with Adeniken head- butting Tony Mitchell, opening a cut in Mitchell's head. Eventually the powerful American hurdler Roger Kingdom, acting as peacemaker, pinned Adeniken to the ground.
A hotel security guard had subdued Mitchell's masseuse with a choke hold when the American sprinter Jon Drummond, who trains with Mitchell, pulled the security guard away. It is possible that Drummond didn't realize the man was a security guard.
Then Mitchell broke free, ran around the pile of squirming bodies, and reportedly kicked Adeniken in the head.
The rest was like a martial arts movie. Adeniken, woozy and bleeding down his face, was allowed to stand up. With three karate kicks he took out Mitchell's brother, the masseuse - who crashed against the wall with a kick to the chest - and Dennis Mitchell, who left the lobby bleeding from the nose or mouth. Adeniken was then taken to the hospital.
so brave man Mitchell jumps Adeniken from behind and then kicks him in the head when is on the floor after Kingdom has him subdued. When finally free Mitchell was schooled by Adeniken.
I agree, Adeniken must've been epic! As for this:

Isn't a "masseuse" technically supposed to be female. Or does the NYT mean "masseur"? Imagine some chick being karate-kicked to a wall.

You're a big-time coach in your own mind. Why don't you take it up with Canova directly?
+1
There are reports coming out a Beijing that DM has assaulted a taxi driver.
an idea- that will never happen...all coaches and all athletes who have cheated....bye. gone.
start over...dennis mitchell a coach???? he shouldn't be involved in this sport...unless we can trade him to another team and ruin them...
Agreed, what kind of statement is this sending out to the youuf of today?
agreed - cheating will never cease until the punitive side is increased (Go Coe) - i fear track is approaching the tour de france level where anytime someone excels you automatically assume they are doping...track is an amazing sport - its ruination would be tragic

I don't control this website. But if Canova tries to speak in the US again, he will get an earful, and I WILL contact the organizer and sponsors of any event and try to keep him out. After what we've seen from ARD and the Sunday Times, he and his kind should not just be banned from this website, he should be banned from the sport as Conte thinks Salazar will be. I'd also like to add Jama Aden to the list.
Yes, Canova needs his head in a vice if you ask me. All those posts and he knew what was going down. Where is your moral will my boy.

Like you are man enough to try that!
Get Adeniken to do it
Adeniken sounds like a badass
It is absolutely shocking a former drug cheat is a USATF coach!! Much more should be made of this. Is the USATF board responsible for this? If not, who?
Can we fire Mike Mulqueen as well from Rutgers? That guy is a complete joke.
... as long as he is buddies with Stephanie and Max, he'll be the relay coach.
While I'm thinking of it - now that Stephanie has gone to the IAAF, will the management/organization of the USATF improve ... ?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
