What are the benefits, if any, of signing a NLI in November versus holding out until February? What would you say are the potential downfalls? Thanks in advance for any advice/wisdom.

You get the decision out of the way and can focus the rest of your season on your academics and athletics. If you run some good cross times in October, you may get some additional scholarship money if the school feels that you will have even better track times.
In this episode you'll hear:
How Tayler began running competitively
What it feels like after a great run
How a coach helped shaped her mindset
How she transitioned from high school to college
What it was like as a new girl on the team
How she felt after winning her first race
How she handled a season ending injury
What she did to rehab her injury
Why she decided to transfer schools
Some are signing just the scholarship agreement and not the NLI. That way if the coach leaves or there is some other problem the student/athlete can go to another school without NCAA penalty.
It pins you down early on. If you have any second thoughts, you're stuck.
