Well, you sort of fixed it. A lot of good runners have biomechanical issues that contribute a lot to injuries. Fisher obviously trained hard, and probably smart, but there's also a huge amount of luck involved as well. Conner Mantz trains smart, too--if you don't believe me just read his training blog. And yet he was injured last cross country season, which obviously contributed to his being unable to set any PRs this year. A lot of great juniors up their mileage and train harder and pay for it by not performing as well their senior years. Fisher upped his mileage and trained harder, focusing entirely on running, but he didn't have to pay for it. Smart, yes. Lucky, definitely.
