Lol @ people still picking against Fisher.
4:19 isn't going to get rid of anyone. I'm hoping for 4:15-4:16. Make it a race!
Alright biches.
Here's my analysis:
Only if someone takes the pace and tries to drop fisher. That person will be Brannigan, maybe Hunter. They won't beat grant, they're just the ones trying to drop him.
(If pace is pushed)
1. Fisher 8:42.6
He's in his own talent level.
2. Hunter 8:44.5
Tactical magician at a young age.
3. Brannigan 8:44.8
He'll make grant hurt, but Hunter will be tougher.
4. Klecker 8:47.0
This kid is having quite the season and will be better than Dressel at CU.
5. Reiser 8:48.0
Has this kid lost all year? 8:49 solo... My only concern is that he will be tired.
Tamagno? Nah.
Dressel? He has old man legs.
Reiser hasn't raced for three weeks. I think he'll be rested.
I highly doubt Brannigan will try and lead. Brannigan very rarely leads. I wish Ostberg was in this field because hes not a kicker so he likes to go for honest races. I don't believe Ostberg was invited so he entered at NBN but I believe Alex is hurt and won't run.
Brannigan will be the one to set the pace, but doesn't have the legs to lead the pack close to 8:40. Fisher for the win - 8:45.
Brannigan interview:
http://ny.milesplit.com/videos/94899
Says he will not lead (stay in his comfort zone) and negative split the miles. He wants to run sub-8:40.
So who will set a pace fast enough for a possible sub-8:40?
If it is sit-and-kick, Fisher wins unless somebody gets a big jump on Fisher at a critical point in the race.
It's been a long season but assuming these guys are peaking and the weather continues to be ideal in Seattle, there should be at least two under 8:40. These guys are great talents, used to running fast, and in high school only elite races, like Arcadia, it is typical for guys to get into the 8:40s. This group is readier than just about any previous high school groups to run fast. Fisher has just run sub 4 and a bunch of these guys are close to 4. Hunter, in particular, looks like he'll break 4 next year and could even do it in the right conditions this year.
Prediction weather for 1-2pm race time tomorrow in Seattle is 66-68 deg, sunny, 8mph wind, so about ideal racing conditions.
Don't know this . . . will these races be rabbited?
1) Webb 8:28
2) Fernandez 8:29
3) Ryun 8:29
4) Fisher 8:31
5) Ritz 8:33
6) Verzbicas 8:34
7) Lindgren 8:35
Should be an all-time classic!
1.) Fisher 8:41
2.) Hunter 8:42
3.) Brannigan 8:44
4.) Reiser 8:46
5.) Mantz 8:50
6.) Klecker 8:51
7.) Webb 8:51
8.) Dressel 8:52
9.) Thomet 8:53
10.) Tamagno 8:55

First event (Girls 2 mile) is in 45 minutes.
Boys 2 Mile is in 1 hour.
I'm guessing flotrack will be streaming it.
Milestat is streaming it, you do need a subscription though. The race starts around 5:10 on the east coast.
4:27 through the mile, slowed to 71
Roher takes the 2 mile in 9:59. Boys are on the track now...
DREW HUNTER BEATS FISHER 8:42!
Fisher has been dethroned, Hunter with the win in 8:42
